Had light hail last night...."roof roaches" are out peddling their goods today.
I'm taking that, with your permission.
Roof Roaches. I haven't heard that before. I was talking with a past Ag customer today about how in San Antonio on the 28th, there are several areas that were covered with new roofers. Today, the same streets are ghost towns as they all left for Austin last night. The damage in Austin is widespread. Most of us will be working here for the remainder of the year. The roof roaches will move on when a new storm comes along.
Just curious - what parts of Austin got hit hard? We seem to have missed the hail out in eastern Round Rock.
Hey!
This is one you wanted to miss. It was devastating. Not just damaged roofs.
Hard to get the map all in frame but here is Austin and Leander.
But this is also why I pay referral bonuses. It's just far too much area to cover for one or even 100 people. The roof roaches, as they say, need volume. They may make promises they can't keep and then can't make appointments and truly service the customers they manage to get. It's a different mindset. I have never referred to a customer as a "lead" and I've never gone into a neighborhood "ready to bust down some doors". I'm not going to change the roofing industry and the sales guy hype model by myself but there are a lot that treat it like a professional job helping people get their property back together and that's something.
