Mrs. Cromagnum has a lead foot and got popped by a state trooper in Lampasas going 81 at the end of an active construction zone marked 60. She described it as she passed the end of the traffic cones so she accelerated with traffic right behind a trooper who then pulled over to tag her. The speed limit sign to return to 75 was in sight of where she was pulled over and the construction zone and crew were half a mile behind her. Still got written up for 20+ over with workers present.

Pay the fine and suck it up with insurance rates?
I dont think she can take defensive driving because of construction zone.
Should she hire someone to fight it? If so, who's good ?

If you call the county or city office where she received the ticket, usually they will offer deferred adjudication for a fee. When you take a defensive driving online class and pay a fee to the municipality, they will dismiss the ticket if she doesn't get another one within 6-12 months.
