In Denton county, we're up 21% on market value this year and up 73% in 4 years. Getting the usual 10% tax bump again this year and will be 10% into perpetuity. Have fought it every year, and they knock the market value down half 2 years ago only to raise it big the next year. Didn't move it at all last year after our protest.

It's criminal.

Has anyone had any success with arbitration or a lawsuit? I am in Dallas county, land value doubled this year, improvements went through the roof as well. So sick of this BS.

Proposed assessment now likely exceeds what I think I can sell the house for.
ARB order entered. 9% increase reduced to just over 2%. Will take what I can get.

After our protest, Denton CAD just lowered our market value 2.2% after increasing it 21% this year. Wow, how nice of them!
