Don't catch many games on TV and had just walked back in when he was batting, so I was still trying to figure out who he was when he walked it off

Great job by all our relievers tonight, except one, who almost blew the game.

So if the ball has come to rest, it has settled, and has to be touching the line physically.

If the ball hadn't come to rest, if any part of it is hanging over the line when touched, it's fair. (And I'm not sure any of it was, I think it was about 50/50 that it was breaking the plane from the angle they had)

(And kicking up chalk is different past first and third, as it has to fall "on fair territory" not "on or over fair territory")

4 back in the division and 2 back in the wild card. Hard to envision any scenario where winning division doesn't include 3 of the next 5 against Houston, which would mean making up 3 games in the other 15 and owning the tiebreaker.

Sticking to what I said 50 games ago. 87 wins gives a 75% probability. SEA would have to go 14-7. HOU would have to go 9-6 over the other 15 if TEX wins both series and goes 14-6 over the final 20.

Bottom line...schedule is very difficult, odds are low, but these starting pitchers give TEX a chance. Gotta get one of these next 2.

Imo, Jack Leiter is the key to any real chance.

Like I said, 2 back in the loss column for passing them.

SEA has a practical 1.5 game lead, and I assume a 3 way tie would be a doomsday scenario, since HOU is 5-5 against SEA, and SEA is 10-3 against TEX.

Yep. Passing SEA lkely won't matter if they continue to play like that.

I like the "let's" as if the focus of any of us mither****ers out here has anything to do with it. They still have to fend off Cle and KC, and again, success down the stretch to win and hold that kast WC spot likely involves dominating the astros which by default puts you right there for the division
