We have our third year anniversary next weekend at the Depot. Thinking of passing along the AOQ mantle to a guy who has recently really stepped up and been really dedicated this summer. Probably gonna start that conversation with him tomorrow so hopefully he at least considers it. I think he would be great! I've enjoyed being AOQ but would much rather help from the background.

Msl - what's your name? We've probably met at some point if you are part of the FOD crew. Those guys are generally pretty nuts!

They also just started one in Fairfield on Tuesday and had 30 guys! It's going to be HUGE there. I've been wondering when they would plant a flag. They started it in the park that shared a fence with my old house. Oh how awesome it would be to roll out of bed at 5:10 and walk to a 5:15 BD!

My F3 name is Prince Nymph. Some of the FOD guys are cyborgs for sure! But after hearing some of their stories, a lot of them started off like me and everyone is very encouraging. It's a great balance of pushing yourself physically/mentally and picking each other up to keep doing better.

I used to live in Fairfield too and it looks like there is a pretty good base of guys for the new AO to be consistent. I'm excited for them!

Ah so we haven't met I don't think. Surprised! I've been out there a handful of times and at almost all the launches and events the last few years. My name is prairie dog.

Talked to two guys about handing off the AOQ mantle and think I found the right guy, he just isnt ready yet. I'll probably hang on until Thanksgiving or so. Planning to pull him onto my SLT in a couple of weeks to get some experience behind the curtain. Not that there's much to it, but he was way more nervous than I thought he would be. He would kill it as AOQ, and hopefully I can convince him of that before too long!

Do you have a co-q? We have a pretty standard practice in West Houston of having a Co Q who then gets elevated to aoq. Kind of like a vp->president role. Makes for more continuity.

No, we typically don't. Granted I am only the third AOQ at this AO (third anniversary is next week) so its not like we have a ton of history. We are also pretty small still, averaging 5-10 per workout so honestly I've never really felt the need for someone else to split the workload with. Maybe I'm viewing that wrong.

Multiplication by division.

Divide your responsibilities and I would bet it will result in growth.

If you're having trouble on your own your Nantan should step up and help identify leaders and assist with leading himself.

F3 Katy has done a tremendous job of teaching LDP - Leadership Development Process- teaching your leaders how to delegate responsibility to encourage others to step up and lead.. in time that creates men ready to step up

Lots of ways to do F3, glad to see the success of the entire Greater Houston Region!

F3 Katy has done a tremendous job of teaching LDP - Leadership Development Process- teaching your leaders how to delegate responsibility to encourage others to step up and lead.. in time that creates men ready to step up

Agreed, I started attending F3 more regularly this year out in Katy and the structure is very well established. Always encouraging others to step up and lead. Great group. Getting ready for our launch on 10/11 for Greenfield.

If they just started, it wont be listed on the F3 site yet. They prefer for AOs (locations) to get things up and running smoothly before officially launching and being added to the F3 site.

I've been to The Compass a handful of times over the years and have Q'ed there once. My home AO is nearby at The Rocket (SL Memorial Park). Good bunch of guys - always a solid coffeeteria and their ultimate frisbee tradition to finish out Saturday BDs is a good time.
