Is downtown too far from The Heights? If not, then Brennan's.

Agree on Bludorn, Hugo's and Caracol - in that order. Have to give a thumbs down on Haywire. I've tried it twice and was disappointed each time. But to each their own.

Lupe and El Tiempo are good for brunch especially with kids.
Maybe not the ambience OP is looking for but good food.

Cadillac Bar used to have a pretty great Sunday brunch. Not sure if it's still going but would recommend if so.

Google says yes, though I never hear people talk about it anymore.

The novelty of pairing expensive fried chicken with wine may have worn off a bit. Or at least it should have.

Great suggestions. We are going to Escalante's on Woodway and Voss. Maybe not the most "brunch" type place but some things came up and this is the best option.

I know I'm late, but others should consider The Rustic in Uptown Park. Pretty good brunch and nice atmosphere.
