On a side note, who thought up the name "Bridgeland"? Might as well call it "Flood Zone."

If homes in Bridgeland or Towne Lake ever flood, it is basically a catastrophic old testament style event and the rest of Houston will be completely under water....or likely washed away.

Hope this finally gets Mason all the way to 290

you mean Greenhouse to skinner connect

Come on Tom, expedite that project. Barker and Fry are massive pinch points for traffic.

Its bad...we are in town lake and I feel like half of my commute gettiing into houston is just getting out of Cypress and onto 290. We generally take West or Tuckerton to Huffmeister or hwy 6. Prtety much my only real complaint of living out here.
im in Towne lake too - riverbend. I take the bus into town everyday. Getting from the park and ride at skinner to my house is 20 min. This underpass would make it 5 tops.

Used to be that a lot of players lived in Misery City area, that will definitely change when this is open.

Demeco Ryans lives in Bee's Creek section of Sienna. I bet not for long.

That was approved as well. Commissioner Ramsey stated that project as well at the CFCC meeting.

I know it is approved - it is just going to take a million years. Hell it took them 8 months to install and paint the railing on the new greenhouse bridge.

Are you saying there's a real good chance the NRG complex would no longer host the Texans games and Rodeo events?

I know not in the short term but it's inevitable the Texans and Rodeo leave the NRG grounds for greener pastures?

I know you're really connected so don't want you to get in trouble.

Just blink once if true and blink twice if not true.

no, just the events outside nrg stadium. I dont see them leaving it unless a new stadium is built.

Which, hypothetically that land could be sold to the med center for big $ to help fund a new stadium. But that is not anything i think would happen soon.

Here come the low income apartments needed to sustain the workforce.

There's already plenty of ****ty homes and complexes south of 529 and north of 10. Along with the areas around Katy hockley
we are on our 3rd management company since I moved into my apartment (Lakeside Row) in 2020. I think Howard Hughes Co. forced the last move because things weren't being maintained, at least based on what the office girls said anyway.

No way they allow cheap housing/apartments to be built with this coming in now.

Okay Tom. Time to expedite. Fry to 290 is closed at the RR tracks and now everyone is at Barker. It is a damn mess on a Friday morning with only 1 reasonable exit/access to the nearest hwy.

Days like today make me extremely grateful that i work from home. Lots of neighbors sitting because of that damn train.

Whoever it was that thought it a good idea in the mid 19th century to put a railroad there should be hung.

Yep...very confident move...probably a set of big ol' balls to match.

Current lease expires in 2032. Might get interesting if the county doesn't put a plan and funding together in the next year or 2.

The name always reminds me of the Bridge City scene in The Postman.
