All things change. Time takes care of that. I am a senior citizen and I recommend that you take pictures of your home town's now, and in later life, you will treasure those pictures.

Good to hear McCann St Grill is back open. Spent some time there back in the 80s. A few more I thought of are Oxford Street Restaurant (formerly a Steak and Ale, I think), Luby's Cafeteria, Carlito's Restaurant, The Bedroom Shop, Uncle Joe's Italian, Gonzales Mexican, South Green Miniature Golf, Hagler Toyota, ServiStar (next to Payless Cashways), CHIX Bar & Grill (now Paige Pub), SEARS, Pegues-Hurst Ford, Lowell Holloway Furniture, and David Williams Collision & Repair (the best).

Uncle Joe's moved to Hallsville and reopened as Gino's sometime after the fire. Same food, we eat there on occasion and it's good.

I remember Mickey Mantle's, Burger Chef, Treasure City, Wacker's (next to Brookshire's) and Tony's Sporting Goods.

I always got my baseball gloves at Tony's.

Will need citations on all of these. Never heard of them. Especially Mickey Mantle's.

Mantle's was on hwy 80. Not sure of the other ones. I remember when Dudley was just a trailer in his front yard before it was a restaurant. PT c/o '99
