Cadillacs CUE system rolled out capacitive buttons with their 2015s. They killed it just two years later when in 2017 because lack of analog buttons sucks and capacitive buttons don't work well and are a distraction.

I have a 2016 with that CUE. It doesn't bother me because I never really touch my console as it's really only climate and audio. I keep climate permanently on Auto and I use CarPlay.

Yes. These aren't the analog driven electronic displays of yesterday year that still relied on physical buttons. These have very few moving parts.

No way in hell these displays will last 10-15 years. They will go through SW obsolescence like every other piece of tech and start failing.
THIS. As someone who buys vehicles and drives them for 10 years, I dont want or need multiple TV screens plastered all over them that control everything. Not to mention I hate having so much light in the cabin when driving at night. I like it dark for better visibility.

Ford started putting displays in their vehicles (MyFord Touch) back in 2012-ish.

There are plenty of f-150's out there with those systems working just fine. Granted, those weren't as advanced as the ones now, but I would venture to say screen tech has gotten better since then too with anti-burn tech and what not.

With regards to buttons, I do love physical controls for a/c and radio, but the nice thing about the Ford Digital Experience is having the a/c controls always available at the bottom of the screen. I hacked my '23 F-150 to have a hvac bar on the screen.

I do like the tremor option.... however.... screen, goofy tron steering wheel, or should be renamed the "steering brick/mechanism." DIdn't they just do the infotainment upgrade in 22? Seems rather quick for additional screens.

Can they do something about the rear suspension set up? Really the only thing on my 24 I dislike is the coilover on the rears. It rides fantastic unloaded. Put a trailer on it, and the sway is atrocious, it dances all over the road, squats horrendously with very little tongue weight (empty 18' lowboy trailer).

Seems like it could still ride very well and have split coil/shock set up, or have an air ride coilover w/ ride height adjustment for the price of these things....

I put 5100s on it and it took away that delta 88 squiggle

Color matching the tailgate makes this look 1000x better

I probably would have left the strip where the inner lights/reflector is black for a little contrast myself.

Looks like the "Timberline" trim never caught on. Considered getting one two years ago.

Smart to scuttle that and slap the tremor on it instead. Just gotta change the sticker and BOOM. Same thing.
