How long do you want to ignore this user?
Let me preface that it is not mine , I'm asking for a friend. I'll rule #1 next time I'm at his house.

We were discussing the car and he asked me what he should do and I had no clue. It's required to change the dual clutch filter between 7 & 8k miles. When he had it at the dealership last time at @6.5k miles they suggest he just get it done and out of the way, so he did. I would think he was good to go as far as maintenence until the next change is required at 22.5k.

According to the doc linked below it says he still has to do it between 7 & 8k. Does this make sense to anybody? TIA.

500 miles early with difference with a 1k mile window. Brak-in materials have been collected...He's good to go.

I think he'd be fine to skip at 8k, but then I would probably want to be a bit early on 22.5k later on

It's his weird tired thing he does on this board. Just flag it and staff will delete. Looks like they are finally getting tired of it too.

If this was a free service (as suggested it could be in the article) take it back to the dealer and have them "perform the service" again. I wouldn't be concerned if they actually did it or not, but I sure would like for it to be documented that it was performed during the proper window so that my warranty is not affected.

Actually, if I paid for it, I would do the same and tell them that they suggested a service that the mfg says doesn't do anything if performed early and they need to do it again.
