I feel like this is basically the bat signal for 1ags, but I'll see if anyone else has suggestions.

I'm in Houston.

I have a 2008 Silverado 2500HD that's no longer sending the trailer brake signal through the standard 7 pin plug. I confirmed this via Discount Hitch on 290 earlier this week.

I replaced the trailer brake module and decided to take it to Trailer Wheel and Frame as they're a more robust operation.

Their mechanic hooked up his tester and confirmed it's still not working. He told me I need to get it reprogrammed at the dealership and there's nothing else he could do until it's reprogrammed.

None of the YouTube videos I watched mentioned re-programming but I trust him.

I live in the Heights so headed to Knapp Chevrolet but they're super backed up. They said I would have to drop it off and it would take 24 to 48 hours just to look at it.

Eff that.

Anyone know of a place that can re-program it without waiting two days?

We've got a place in south College Station we go to regularly so I was going to call the Navasota Chevy dealership to see if they can do it without waiting 2 days.

Figured I'd give this board a shot at recommendations first.

Call a salesman at any dealership and tell them you are looking at a suburban for the wife but are very busy. You need them to do that job while you run the numbers on the suburban and test drive. Bail on the deal when they finish the work on your truck.
