Does anybody have a recommendation for an installer in The Woodlands, Magnolia, Montgomery or Conroe areas? I want somebody that's gonna do it right and has a lifetime warranty and will actually be around to honor it if possible.

What is the best ceramic brand that I need to ask for?

I live in The Woodlands, but took my car to "Gulf Coast Auto Shield" for ceramic window tint. If you can wait, they are planning to open a location in The Woodlands soon.

Tyler at TNT Tint on Tamina in Magnolia does fantastic work and very reasonable priced. When I did my Yukon about 3ish years ago for 5% all way around including sunroof and 50% on W/S it's was like $600

I used auto tint Houston in Humble. I got whatever the 99% heat rejection product was and it's great. They had a windshield film as well that seems to have made a big difference. They use Autobahn film but are by appointment only. They were a bit more expensive than Fabien but only a $7 uber from my shop so that was easy.

With an appointment sure takes a couple hours. Then you just can't roll your windows down for 3 days after

Went to Fabian a couple of weeks ago, I've used him before without issues but had a less than stellar experience this time. First he forgot I had an appointment, but he got me in so that's not that big of a deal.

Bigger thing was after I got back from tint, I went to install my dash cam. When I touched the rear view mirror cover it fell right off. All 4 of the tabs had been broken off and glued back on. As badly as the tabs were broken they really had to have forced and twisted it off instead of just trying to slide it down. After my tint was done they told me I had to wait another 45 minutes for it to dry. I think that was actually time they were waiting for the glue to dry on my mirror cover. Not that expensive of a part to replace but would have been nice to have been transparent with me.

I've never had ceramic tint, is it worth the price? I've meaning to get the roof & front windows tinted on the Tesla and will likely get ceramic for the roof, maybe all.

Fabian did my wife's car back in 2016. It started bubbling last year and he replaced under warranty.

I had my truck done last year when he replaced my wife's tint. Only complaint is he's pretty far walking distance from anything so you're stuck waiting. I did walk to lunch, but it was a 30 minute walk each way, sometimes no side walk. He used to come to your house and do it in your garage which was obviously a lot nicer.

Ceramic on the sunroof makes a ton of difference and actually makes the sunroof useable during the summer months.

I had Fabian put ceramic on my truck when he made house calls. 100%

A couple of years later, I drove to him for my wife's Mercedes roadster. That car has a window function that automatically moves the front windows down about 1/4" and then back up every time you open and close a door. The auto open created a small crinkle and the bottom of both windows when I got home.

Not something I would blame on Fabian but I had to drive 50 minutes each way for the repair. It happened again when I got home from the repair but was able to fix it myself with a credit card. My next tint job will be close to home.

@drumboy it must be worth it, Fabian had mostly Teslas in his shop. I bet Tesla work alone pays his rent
