New car got rear ended in a hit and run last week. Now I want a good dash cam that looks forward and back. Any recommendations?

I have not pulled the trigger yet but I have been comparison shopping 2 channel setups for the past few weeks and am narrowed down to the 70mai A810 4K or Vantrue S1 Pro Max 4k. I am wanting a system that allows for good parking mode and remote monitoring capabilities

My old dash cam died last Friday, I ordered a Blackvue DR970X 2 channel. Unlike any other dash cam I've owned, the Blackvue app is very good. It's been less than a week, but I do not regret purchasing this one.

I have a 6yo Blackvue and it is still going strong. Installed in 1 car, then when we sold it we moved it to the new car.

Hubby has a Vantrue in his truck and the videos are really good.

I like the fitcamx I got. It's overpriced, but there aren't any wires showing since it comes with an adapter to pull power from your rearview mirror. (I hate seeing wires) If they make one for your car, consider it.

Blackvue is the best. Spendy but worth it.

Regular amazon brands that are ok are Rove, Rexing, Aukey, Viofo.

The app is terrible and the first two I received were DOA straight out of the box. I think no GPS or speed in 2025 is also a no go. I wouldn't recommend unless you really want an OE only look.

We have a couple Viofo A119s, but those are front only and I really like the form factor and the clean look inside the car. One of them requires the card to be pulled to get video, which is annoying. They make models like A229 that have rear as well.

My thoughts too. Nobody wants to make out in a 100 degree parking lot after working out.
