After 9+ years and 160,000+ miles with my 2016 F150 Lariat FX4, I decided it was time to get a new truck. Looked at the new Tundra's along with the F150's....Liked things about both of them.

Chose the Ford again. Previous 3 trucks (2001/2007/2016) were Lariat F150's. Each going 160 to 180,000 miles without major issues. Ford is offering 0% financing for 48 months - and 2 years of scheduled maintenance. Hard to pass up "free" money...
Enough talking - here's some pics

Lariat FX4 - Space white metallic with the Lariat black appearance package
3.5 Boost (my first boost truck after 30+ years of driving V8's in a half ton truck...)
501A package, tow/haul package - 7,100# GVWR - 3.55 locking rear diff, brake controller, FX4 off road
Mobile office package, blue cruise
The spec sheet is basically the same as the 2016 it replaced - but it's a lot nicer. Technology is light years ahead.... I had to try a lighter color (my last 2 trucks were "dark") - The space white metallic is really bright - and with the black appearance package - think it looks pretty sharp. Doesn't look like a work truck...

Trying to understand all the "bells and whistles".... Watching a lot of YouTube videos...

I purchased this truck through the "1ags" AutoBoard contact. I bought my previous truck (the 2016 F150) through the same channels. I can't say enough how straightforward and pleasant the experience was. I did my research before I went in - had 3 different trucks in stock I was considering. Looked at them made my decision.
On the price of the truck - good discount off sticker. I also had a $2,000 private offer from Ford on top of the discount.
On the trade - the price offered was a little better than the ones I did myself before shopping. Treated fairly on a clean 9 year old truck with 160,000 miles.
Negotiated some on the Ford Premium ESP - again good pricing based on my research. (7 yr / 125,000 miles)
Financing was quick and easy using Ford's 0% promo.
I wasn't paying attention on the time - but probably took less than an hour and a half to get through all the paperwork on a Thursday afternoon (also the last day of August).
I am happy with the overall experience. Would recommend.

On the registration - I have the "CCA" specialty plates. We were able to transfer the plates from the 2016 to the 2025. I'll pick up the windshield sticker in a few weeks at the dealer when it comes in. No "temporary plates".

Next on the list is to call Luke at Truck Alterations to order my Bakflip MX4 bed cover. The one on my 2016 was still tight and secure. Going to buy another....

Do you know if all the dealers are doing the 0% for 48 months right now? Or is that just a perk of having 1ags on the board?

The 0% for 48 months finance offer is through Ford.

So do you mind telling us what the total drive-out price was?

Sorry - not going to share the specific details/numbers of the sale using the TexAgs AB hook up on a public forum.
(This is the second truck I purchased through this dealer). For me there is more to it that the drive out price.

Here's what I can tell you on the transaction.

On the new truck - there was a good discount off the sticker price. I've been casually looking since January.
Look at the discounts posted on any of the Houston Ford dealer websites - It's pretty transparent. They are all within a range. I also had a $2,000 private offer direct from Ford that was added to the discounted price. I also purchased the truck on the last day of the month (7/31). All the discounts/rebates/etc. got me to buy this truck a year ahead of when I was planning to replace my 2016.

On my trade - The price we settled on was in line with the offers I received online from Carvana, CarMax, etc.
The price was good for a one owner, non smoking, no accident vehicle that was over 9 years old and 160,000 miles (purchased and serviced from the same dealer). It's not worth it to me to deal with all the idiots buying used vehicles/transfer paperwork/etc. to try and get another $1,000 (or probably less by the time the dust settles). My time is worth more to me.

On the extended warranty - I did my homework online ahead of time. Knew what the Ford Premium Care warranties were going for before I got to dealership. We discussed and negotiated a price that we both agreed on. Less than 10 minute discussion. That was an easy "Yes" or "No".

On the financing - that was easy. Took longer to fill out the application than to get approval. I had cash available to pay for the vehicle - but why write a check when you can get 0% for 48 months through Ford? Again, the 0% financing got me in the market a year ahead of my plan to replace the 2016.

At the end of the day I'm not looking to beat the dealership out of every dollar. They have bills and employees to pay. They have to run a business. I want them to be there the next time I need a new vehicle.

I'll tell you what I didn't have to deal with... all the BS around paint/fabric protectant/"APEX" security systems/nitrogen for the tires, all the crap other dealers push on you before they close the sale. Didn't have to argue/waste my time telling someone "NO" repeatedly and playing games.

As I said previously, I had a good idea what I wanted based on the inventory. I was in and out of the dealership in less than 90 minutes. Nice, straightforward transaction handled professionally.

" At the end of the day I'm not looking to beat the dealership out of every dollar."

That never happens anyway. As I heard somebody say recently, the two times where you will almost NEVER feel confident that you got a good deal are when buying a car and when buying jewelry. You can only feel like you got screwed less than somebody else you might know, or than you were screwed the last time you made a similar purchase.

Dealers make their money on service, warranties and selling used cars. I would try and beat them out of every dollar.

Not to derail, but what's the lead time on a 2025 f150 xlt from factory? Getting a new company truck and it's been on order for just over three months now. I don't have a way to track it though.

As far as I know it's super crew 5.5' bed. Not sure on equipment group but it will either be 300A or 301A

I wouldn't think an order like that would take over 3 months. Just searching the inventory for XLT 4x4 300A & 301A there are over 200 on the ground right now. You should have gotten a conformation email from with your order number when the order was placed, and updates during the build process. Contact info in my profile if you'd like to talk.

EDIT missed the 5.0 engine option. There are 179 total retail XLT 4x4 301A with the 5.0. ZERO with the 300A on the ground or at the plant. So that might be the hold up.

Thanks for the info. The orders are handled internally through our company so I don't get any of the emails or tracking from ford. We usually just get an email saying go pick the truck up at whichever dealer they sent it to.
