A loss at Ole Miss to Kiffin. Fun times.

Cyrus was THE guy for some bang average teams. He was the workhorse AND the explosive guy. His versatility was impactful.
Trayveon Williams is 1 - Led SEC in Rushing.
Cyrus Gray at 2.

I think with Achane, J-Train, Toombs, Spiller, Goodson, Etc. they all had very specific roles that it really limited their numbers/effectiveness. But at RB, you need that to keep them fresh and healthy.

Moss should also be much higher - especially with 2025 coming!

Trey Williams was the second biggest waste of talent this school has seen in 30 years, right behind Reggie McNeal.

Coaches ought to be in prison for that kind of neglect

I agree, he had Barry Sanders type moves and yet he was only occasionally given the ball. Trey should have been a feature back. Total waste of talent.

I don't know if he was the "best," but Achane was the most impressive back I've ever seen play for us. He probably got hurt too much to be considered at the top, but when he was on, his speed, agility and strength were insane. At least we had the Orange Bowl?
Achane is probably the best Aggie back to come through here this century. There's a reason he's the only one on this list to really have any success at the NFL level

I'm partial to Gray, Michael, Malena, and Trey Williams. I think MIchael and Achane were under utilized.

Like your list better! Got the top 5 right and guys playing this season have the opportunity to move up.

Toombs, Lane, and Achane are all definitely in top 5.

Personally I am optimistic our OL will be a strength and open big holes.

Achane and Goodson were the two best. Stats be damned.

easily. Two years behind Spiller and one year behind the worst OL

Lotta Trump Derangement Syndrome in the OP. Unless you meant TDs.

If we are adding 1990's guys then Leeland McElroy and Greg Hill should be on the list. Was in tiger stadium when Lectric Leeland sent the swamp kittens fans scampering home early with a very long touchdown run!

If we didn't have such inept play calling Achane should be run away #1. You saw immediately once he joined the Dolphins how he should have been used.

1. Javorskie Lane

He didn't have the most yards per carry but 49 TDS and having a back that could get 2 yards no matter what at any given moment was invaluable.

I'd disagree
-Coach Fran

Are you misremembering? It was Sherman who didn't run him against Arkansas St to try and prove a point, and then lost the damn game.

Fran rode that man into the ground.
Guess you forgot about 2006 OU when Fran chose to kick two field goals late in the 4th quarter down 7 and 4. One was a 4th down from the 2. I wish I could forget too

But to be fair Sherman equally misused Lane and moved him to fullback in 08

I was at that game too but I suppose I more blamed the decision on electing for fg's as Fran being a ***** in general vs Sherm being a stubborn ******* against a much lesser opponent trying to prove a point and not use the back who would easily have won it.
