Premium topic says "Jerome Myles in hospital". I'm not subscriber so no idea what it is about, but definitely scary topic heading. Hopefully nothing to worry about for Jerome.

If we have a player in the hospital, it is absurd to have to subscribe to find out about it.

Holy entitlement Batman!
I'm sure if you wanted to know bad enough you could go find the information.
But it's easier to scream into the ether that someone you're not paying a dime to is t giving you want you want RIGHT NOW.
Yikes.

Seems more absurd for any of us to know why an 18 year old is in the hospital, merely because he plays a sport in our favorite laundry.

Agree 100%. I have no idea what's going on with this young man and if he is ill and/or injured, here's hoping for a speedy recovery.
But cool guy hit the nail on the head. These guys are highly compensated professional athletes with unlimited free agency. They aren't kids. They aren't student athletes. They aren't entitled to privacy. They are paid professional employees of those who have donated to a fund that ensures they a.) get to campus and b.) are treated like royalty once they get here. Since college athletics is now a 100% professional pay-for-play organization, I fully believe that all injuries, illnesses, or other disruptions to their athletic activities should be made public...just like it is in the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, etc. Heck, it should be that way if for no other reason than to let Vegas know about it. The availability (or lack thereof) of one key player can make a tremendous difference in betting trends. It's a set up for corruption and illicit gaming if a few people have access to and know the truth about a player's status but other people do not.

Second, while yes, pro leagues do keep everyone apprised of status to play, hold your hoses and let it play out a second.

I don't know what is wrong with the kid, but all I know is that the kids who have major injuries in high school almost always never pan out. Can't think of one that did.

@AggiesToday can try to hide it all he wants, but yes it’s true.

Jerome Myles is hurt again. It seems to be a pretty bad injury.
