Reed could've been intercepted like 5 different times. He had a 46% completion rate that game for a reason.

Olin B is on the premium board making the case for Reed as the Heisman frontrunner, after his 46% completion percentage performance. Lol. These people like that never played football.

I always, and I mean always, as in every time, coached my QB that if he was going to throw the ball to a DB, throw it to the one who can't catch worth a damn.

What we discuss here is of no consequences. I'd bet his coaches have talked to him about it plenty.

Reed definitely has a way's to go, lifting back foot when throwing, high throws, happy feet, not finding open receivers at times, still dialing in that long ball, needs more accuracy. However dang he's improved so much and you can tell he's getting coached up. He's checking down, he's getting comfortable, he throws with velocity, he's learning to throw the receiver open, throwing before receiver breaks, he's starting to understand what Klein is trying to do and how they're fooling the coverage. Klein schooled ND DC, over and over.. We are ahead of schedule! lol

Do you mean that a young college qb in a game against a good team didn't play perfect? This is news.
It would be impossible to find a qb that did play perfect.
What he and his teammates neeed to make more good plays than bad. He did that.

It was definitely a play that almost sunk us but someone in premium brought up a good point. When you go back and watch the replay it kinda looks like Concepcion awkwardly mistimed his leap for the ball a bit leading to the ball sailing over his head and almost leading to that INT.

Still, the ball was really high and it coulda cost us the big win.

Good thing Reed came up clutch the rest of the way though. He's still a work in progress and trending the right way IMO.

I suggest to all of you former 5 Star QBs with all of your wealth of knowledge and experience of being elite signal callers watch this film break down. Just as presented in the breakdown, I present to you, Reed is being put in positions to force throws into tight windows and some of his throws are coming out late due to lack of underneath routes and Minimal availability for flat dumps to the RBs.
Reed is on his own to an elite season, especially if he starts getting help from his OC and RBs in providing easy pitch and catches when needed

He'll be fine. He still kinda raw but he'll progress throughout the season. He has all the athletic attributes and not all SEC QB's have that naturally. As long as he doesn't mess up and let it get into his head I think we have a great opportunity to have a marquee QB

Argh after the biggest aggie win in the last 3 years not enough people are talking about our quaterback sucks! Learn how to enjoy a win man, we definitely caught some breaks and won, but we won.

Plenty of people talking about Reed and the Heisman hype. You're a known hater and have been a hater. I remember telling you that you didn't know ball months ago. You still don't.

While I agree that it was not a wise throw, after I went back and watched that throw again a couple of times, if Concepcion would have timed his jump better, that might have been an amazing catch over one defender in front of the second. However, it appears that Concepcion mistimed his jump and was on the descent once the ball finally got there.

It is a young quarterback putting a lot of trust in a receiver to out jump and win a true 50/50 ball. Which, he turned around and did the exact same thing on the 4th day pass. Make a throw to the 1:1 matchup, put it in the best ideal position and then hope for the best!

If the result is a win, I honestly don't care how many "bad" balls Reed throws.

I see much improvement in the WR over last year.

At least we've got some monsters now that can catch poorly thrown balls and do something with them.

What i love is a) we are giving him a pocket, and b) he is using it.

He makes some beautiful passes with incredible velocity. But he's starting to learn more touch (like the winning TD).

Work on the high throws and the deep ball which is being overthrown AND underthrown.

And for chrissakes- CK, more passes to RBs and TEs.

obviously Reed needs to improve his completion % going forward
