Hopefully he starts rolling soon. We really need a running game for SEC play.

He leads the team in Carries, Yards, and TDs.

He's averaging 5.1 YPC and has 4 TDs in 4 games.

Klien isn't trying to run the ball enough. It appeared they were trying to give Reed as many pass plays as possible the 1st 3 weeks and they abandoned the run vs ND because they were playing from behind most of the game.

Not just behind on the scoreboard but also behind the sticks. How many stupid false start penalties??? LeVeon may have not have been impressed but we sure did hurt his opportunities with several 1-15 or 2-9 attempts

Notre Dame also had 7 in the box along with playing man coverage Most of the night. There was a reason we threw for so many yards on 17 completions

And this is factoring in only 3 carries against UTSA. Le'veon looks good.

Klein isn't neglecting the run. We're playing teams trying to stop the run and he's trying to get enough Reed on tape to show future opponents to prepare for the run and pass. Defenses will start to fear Craver and KC more and more as we go along and the run game will chew up yards as opponents adjust. .

It seemed like ND ran all over us, yet Moss had the same YPC and just like 5 fewer carries than Love. He had a sneaky good game.

Jimbo had very few natural playmakers at wr towards the end and we struggled last year too. The story on the Ags was stack the box and force us to win through the air.

Now that we have Mario, KC and capable TE's teams will not be able to stack the majority of the game. Or if they keep doing so we'll torch em. Expect Leveon and Owens' numbers to keep improving as the year goes on, assuming we stay healthy.

A&M played a lot of 21 formation making ND respect the run game which freed up our receivers. It was a nicely crafted game plan.

A&M has scored 40+ points in all 3 games. Is there really much to complain about RE the offense thus far? A&M is currently Top-20 in the nation in both points per game and total yards per game. And looking at our yards per carry, is there any reason to think A&M couldn't run more against an opponent if that was what was necessary?

Fresh running backs down the stretch run of the season when we are on the road for a month to take the crowd out of the game is going to be ideal. I'm glad we are saving them.

Well, our rush D - at 139 yds/gm - is ranked 72 in NCAA Div 1. So 136 yds is right at the average - and not very good. I get it that it was ND with 2 very good RB's, and not UTSA or Utah St, so you would expect them to be able to have some success running the ball. Was it "running all over us" - well, maybe not quite that bad, but it was certainly not good run D.

By the way ND is averaging 161 yds/gm through 3 games, so we did hold them a little below their average (but very small sample size). They did rush for 198 against us last year - with what we thought was going to be a stout run D, so we did better than last year. Probably has more to do with our offense being able to have some success, although TOP for the Aggies was lower this year than last year.

Summary of the Notre Dame game that was a well called game for Klein. We've begged for high quality receivers and a good passing game. And that's exactly what we appear to have this year thanks to the portal.

Yet we still have people amazed we don't just ground and pound it 2 out of ever 3 plays like it's 1984.

So we out performed compared to their average rushing stats and the game last year, but somehow you focus on it being a negative.

Well, to be fair to ND, there were about 30,000+Ags in their 80k stadium.

NBC didn't really show this on their brodcast. They almost exclusively panned to the ND student section the entire game, plus all the Maroon didnt really stick as well in their dark stadium at night.

Love and Price did pretty well against us.

35 carries for 162 yards for an average of 4.6 yd/carry

It was Carr and "team" with negative yards that brought the total down to 136. We can win games with opponent RBs getting 4.6 yd/carry but we'd much rather have that number max out at 4.0. At least, that's what I figure the coaches are thinking. And you can certainly lose games if you are giving up 4.6

I didn't think I was being too negative, just realistic. Giving up 136 yds rushing is not great. I wouldn't necessarily say they "ran all over us". We did win the game, so it was good enough to win. I just hope the defense tightens up a bit as the season progresses.

Just FYI - there is only 1 top 25 team (Ga Tech) with a worse yd/gm rush D than A&M.

I went to the Notre Dame game. In an odd way, the field being turf instead of grass really took away from the nostalgia of all of the history.
