there is no world i would root for texas. i don't think i could root for texas even if it benefited us some how. f those guys.

No, I would never root for Texas unless a Texas win secures an SEC Championship Game or CFP appearance for us. Even if Oklahoma beats Texas without John Mateer, they still have tough games against Ole Miss (home), Tennessee (away), Alabama (away), Missouri (home), and LSU (home) remaining.

The ONLY way I would ever want cow to win a football game is if by them winning a direct result would be that we clinch a spot in the SEC CG. Otherwise, NEVER!

I'm following my Dad's lead to me growing up. Class of '48. Went through Pearl Harbor in high school. Drafted during WWII serving in the Pacific theatre. Therefore nothing good at all to say about the Japanese.

With all that being said, I can still hear my Dad's sage words to me: "Son, if the University of Japan played tu, we're pulling for the Japanese."

So … heck no not ever - pull aginst sips no matter what.!!

Only way I ever want tu to win is if that victory would put us in the CFP...otherwise a tu 2025 season record of 3-9 works for me.

this. Too early in the season. Now if tu needs to win their second to last game against someone that gives us a direct benefit (us making playoffs), then maybe. However, that situation does not exist right now.

I could also still argue that I would want them to lose, because if we need them to win, we really did not earn that playoff position.

We are screwed on the second tie breaker because Georgia and Alabama played. It should be winning percentage among wins and not just winning percentage of opponents.

I want tu to lose every game they play in every sport 100 to nothing. Even soccer.

We needed Tech to beat the horns one year in football to give us a shot at winning the SWC. I couldn't bring myself to root for tu, so I just rooted for Tech to screw up.

Realistically if Texas wasn't Texas, we would be rooting for them here.

On the flip side, a loss here could send their season to the gutter, which could have long term positive effects on recruiting.
