WTF with CK? Sometimes he seems to be totally detached from whats happening on the field and the game situation.

We just ran Smith for8 yards, 13yds and 3 yds, and the broadcasters are talking about how gassed their DL is, standing with hands on their hips or knees gasping for air.

Meanwhile Smith is running like Rodney Thomas (or Moss, if you will) bowling over people and showing great vision.

It's now 2nd and 7 on their 17yd line, looking to go up by 14.

So we start PASSING the ball on next two downs and kick a FG.

Sometimes i think he gets carried away playing with all his little shiny toys so he can show hiw clever he is.

RUN THE DAMN BALL when you have them totally beat and your rushing game is clicking.

I actually think our play calling has been quite innovative this year. Perfect? No. But we are executing pretty well most of the time on offense

it's because we keep tripping over our own d!cks at inopportune times and it makes things harder than it has to be. Good thing game control isn't a metric because we can't seem to ever step on anyone's throat… oh wait

exactly.

i am pleased with our O. I am not pleased when I think he misses the obvious path- especially when it invilves cramming the ball down a demoralized D's throat with a rushing attack that has zero lost fumbles for the year.

What I've learned from the average Ag fan is that the only thing acceptable is being literally perfect. You play your best Offensive game of the year, score the most points of any game in the year, and come on TexAgs and people are trashing you. Pretty incredible.

I remember the recent past when RBs didn't catch passes, we didn't use pre snap motion, and receivers didn't have a shot at YAC. CK is far from being a Kingsbury though. He's still a work in progress as an OC.

Exactly. So far, he's come off looking about as successful as an OC can look based on results but when we get to the post-season, dumb decisions can make the difference. If he starts making more sound play-calling decisions, we clean up and improve with Bond, and the defense gets back to what's worked up until last night, we find ourselves deep in the post-season.

This is it. I think it's a hangover side effect of BAS.

I keep looking around like the WTF?? GIF when people complain about Klein and we are playing good offense against great defenses and great offense against bad defenses. We aren't perfect but perfect isn't an attainable metric. You always have room to improve but we should be happy with the play calling and execution. We are really dynamic. We were running well there but also if you run the same guy 5 plays in a row he's going to get gassed and not have the same effort, mixing things in isn't bad. We never abandoned the run.

Last week we played ball control offense because our defense was playing well. This week we needed to score points however we could because it was that kind of game.

Be happy, we are a good team that when we play bad we are finding ways to win. Be happy. We are using our play makers in space and utilizing our great offensive line.

Yep CK got over 50 points with our offense on a road game. I like how we got 50 points before the refs invented a holding call. He used different backs and different receivers contributed. I hope you aren't this fun to be around all the time.

I agree, but you're asking a lot from the zoo.

I was texting my brother during the game and he complained about being on the 2 yard line and we threw a pass for a TD to Theo. He didn't like the call because he thought we should have run the ball. I asked him what's the problem we scored.

My complaint isn't with the offense it's on the defense. I really wasn't expecting us to get torched for 42 points.

We only punted 2x. When was the last time that happened? Even against an FCS team? Arky's defense is really bad. I think they made every running back look like a stud. Much like we do when we play lesser QBs (damn BAS is creepin').

The interesting thing...Arky's offense scores quickly, but that does no favors for their defense. Petrino hasn't figured out ground and pound. And he's an idiot with clock management....

There is a litany of things to complain about from last night. Our offense ain't in the top 10. After 3-4 successful runs with a gassed dline, not unreasonable to expect them to crowd the line and then you blast them with a 20 yard pass. We did that on pretty much every scoring drive last night, and Reed was throwing pretty damn accurately. But sometimes it doesn't work out. Usually far more frequently than 7 out of 9 drives, especially considering one of those 2 should have been a TD.
