YoutubeTV is now listing the upcoming LSU game as being available in 4K (if you have the 4K package). If you have the base plan you can upgrade to 4K plan for $10/ a month and then downgrade afterwards. Any 4K advocates out there? I know that I am looking forward to a better production and crew on ABC Saturday night! The stuff we have gotten the past couple of weeks has been pretty disappointing.

A few things about the ABC/ESPN 4K productions:

• They look great. They're presented in 4K HDR.
• No commercials. They just display a still shot of the stadium during tv timeouts. This is awesome.
• If you're using YoutubeTV on an Apple TV, it won't work. The game will show on the 4K channel, but it will be dark and not in 4k. AppleTV doesn't support the codec that YoutubeTV uses from my understanding. In these situations I watch YoutubeTV with the native YoutubeTV app (on my LG tv) and that works.

Obligatory what's our all-time record in night games shown in 4k when we wear maroon helmets?

For you videophiles, I'm pretty sure that this is 1080p content that is upscaled to 4k. At least, that seems to be a consensus opinion via google. No commercials is pretty cool though.

If we happen to lose, I don't want to see that in 4K. However, I think we win.

I think the 4K games usually look really good, but there are so few it makes it tough to keep the 4K package.

That was awesome. Hadn't seen that before and didn't realize their role in playing that for the stadium Jumbotron. Really cool.

4k works on my appleTV. I have the youtube TV app that i watch through apple TV and it has always worked fine.

I think there might be a 4k compatible apple tv you need to buy? maybe just the latest versions. I'm not sure. But I am proof that there is at least some kinds of apple tv's that will display 4k

Antenna tv would be better if it's on ABC, seems like it won't be?
