No. We just need to win.

Ugly or clean, it doesn't matter. Keep winning and the rest takes care of itself.

F that.

I want an absolute beating of a win. I'm talking a game was never in doubt and swamp kitty fans are largely leaving by mid 3rd quarter. The kind where the media gets mad at us for being so mean to the poor home team by not being "sportsman".

I honestly can't remember the last time A&M absolutely destroyed the other team when it wasn't a DivII team at Kyle. Can remember plenty of times when it was done to us though.

We have won 14 SEC road games by double digits, including 6 road games by 21+ points each. The last time we absolutely destroyed an SEC team on the road was a 35-14 win at Missouri in 2021. We jumped to a 21-0 lead with 3:13 left in the 1st quarter and led by 14+ points the rest of the way. We were dominating Florida with a 33-7 lead with 5:29 left in the 3rd quarter before hanging on for a 33-20 road win last year.

2012
63-21 win at Auburn
38-13 win at Mississippi State

2013
45-33 win at Arkansas

2014
52-28 win at South Carolina

2015
25-0 win at Vanderbilt

2016
29-16 win at Auburn
24-13 win at South Carolina

2020
28-14 win at Mississippi State
48-3 win at South Carolina
31-20 win at Auburn
34-13 win at Tennessee

2021
35-14 win at Missouri

2024
33-20 win at Florida
34-24 win at Mississippi State

I would like a double-digit road win over LSU, but I will be happy with even a close road win over LSU. We beat Mississippi State and Florida by 17+ points each by pulling away in the 4th quarter after slow starts offensively or defensively. I think our best opportunity to dominate an SEC opponent from start to finish would be against South Carolina on 11/15.

Probably 48-3 over USCe in 2020. Before that it was probably 63-21 over Auburn in 2012. We all want those kinds of wins. But we don't need to "make a statement" when we are undefeated. Winning the games speaks for itself.

I would say 35-14 win at Missouri in 2021 was the last time we absolutely destroyed someone. We jumped to a 21-0 lead with 3:13 left in the 1st quarter and led by 14+ points the rest of the way.

Before 2020, the last time we had a huge road win of 21+ points was a 25-0 win in Vanderbilt in 2015 and a 52-28 win at South Carolina in 2014.

The last games like that which I can recall were at South Carolina in 2014 and at OU in 1997.

I get it a win is a win etc. especially in SEC. Every instance where we are ascending (be it rankings or public perception) we go on the road and lay an egg … starting in 75. I can't think (outside a bowl game) of an instance where we have confirmed the ascension, ranking, or perception with a statement road game as a highly ranked team vs a team ranked or perceived a better program in 50+ years. .. let's get this monkey off our back

I kind of agree with OP.
If we want to beat LSU and Mizzou we're gonna have to play better than we did in our first 7 games.
So far we have not played a complete game. Yet we've still won (albeit against lesser competition) .

Notre Dame is a better team than LSU. Doesn't mean we'll win.

At some point (especially since you're normally wrong) a blind squirrel will find a nut with these posts.

Hmm, ok. ND is better today than they were when we played. Point remains that if we play like we did against ND we will not beat LSU. Certainly not Mizzou.

Because they beat a handful of cream puffs and beat a very mediocre USC?

There is no evidence of the bolded part. None.

If we play like we did against Notre Dame, LSU will still be lucky to score 28. And our offense would put up something in the 30's easily.

A statement win against LSU in a night game at tiger stadium could give us some discussion as the #1 team in the country. We'd certainly be deserving with two huge road wins on the resume. When was the last time we were AP #1?

No one is passing Ohio St because the schedule is hot garbage and Big 10 media.

Fixed it.

Ohio State didn't win it all last year or 2014 because of the Big10 media. Its because they are an elite program and have been for decades. Just look at their record and the NFL talent they have produced. Credit where credit is due.

But the point of the posts were them being ranked 1 the entire regular season this year.

Last year when they won it all, they were not ranked number 1 bc their schedule was not hot garbage last year.

That was my point which you clearly missed.

And my point about Big 10 media. They of course will not allow the truth about their schedule come to light.

Teams can lose games in the regular season and still win it all. Which actually helps them bc they are battle tested.

Ohio State will not be battle tested this year like any SEC team that makes the playoff. Very similar to Oregon last season. That is why I don't think Ohio State will win it all this season.

Unless the field is a sloppy mess and they put in a running QB, I don't think LSU stands a chance of putting up 28 on our D. Nuss is not mobile and our DBs will take away his quick pass options. Their OL has not been good at run blocking, so no reason to think they will have a good run game against our D.

If we win every game, including Sanford by one point, we are national champions.
They could all be the ugliest games that you've ever seen. But if we win them all by one, we are national champions.

A win is a win, if you can win. If you can win, the type of win doesn't matter, as long as you win.

No one is passing Ohio St until they lose. That defense is for real.

Everyone keeps saying this that Ohio State is by far away the number one team, but why? They be a very overrated tu and have blown out average competition.
