When he came here, he talked about his deep friendships in BR, and how he was keeping his home and country club membership. I'd be interested in why the people who simply gave a "no" say that.

Zero chance under Woodward. Scott told him he'd survive the regime change after Coach O, so Moffitt turned down an offer from Saban to go to Bama. Then Woodward and Kelly fired him when they hired the staff. No way Moffitt turns his back on Elko for Woodward.

It doesn't sound like Woodward is going to survive this mess at LSU either once they hire a new president

Low key, this whole coach search is a recipe for disaster. LSU is a premier job but they just fired a coach , that's 2 in a row, add the AD out!

That's a lot of upheaval of impactful people. I believe they also lack a president of the university. The new coach will be negotiating with himself. All the promises and deals that need to be signed off on will have no standing with new AD/President.

Just seems like such a risk in the NIL era

Not worth taking a chance. Need to give him a major raise and include a clause that he has to pay a significant buyout to go to another SEC school.

Yeah this is a worry. The more BK is cast retroactively as a goldbricking carpetbagger from the get-go, the more opportunity there is for lsu to kiss & make up with Moffitt.
