Once again the consumer gets screwed over one way or another.

Decent timing for us with a bye week, but what is happening and what are our contingencies?

It would be peak Aggie to have the most success we've had since the early 90s and also not be able to watch them on TV…for an entirely different reason.

There's sling, hulu+, directv, dish..,I imagine cable still exists? No contracts with youtubetv, so you can cancel and switch to one of those listed. Point being g, you're not sol if one content provider cancels espn

I'm perfectly happy with Hulu + LiveTV. As it's owned by Disney, I'm not expecting that they'll have carriage issues with ABC or ESPN.

Literally happens every year. Not sure why it seems that they negotiate deals for 6-12 month spans, but it's pretty damn annoying.

That said, this happens all the damn time, and is generally resolved quickly. And sadly, they also know that consumers don't have many options that they can't control. So we just have to live through these swings every year, or bounce to another option before they go through the same thing, or pay more for the espn service. Which is clearly part of the goal from the mouse.

YouTube TV and Disney have failed to reach a new carriage agreement, resulting in Disney channels like ABC and ESPN being removed from YouTube TV as of midnight on October 31, 2025. YouTube TV has stated that subscribers will receive a $20 credit if these channels remain unavailable for an extended period.

Get a 24 hour pass on Sling for like $5, or subscribe to ESPN Unlimited so you don't have to worry about carriers.

Just got Disney+ which includes ESPN to hold me until YYTV gets their act together. $32/mo includes all the bs fees etc. Can cancel at any time. Not sure it has ABC …. Guess I ought to check on that'

You better check you get ESPN and not just ESPN+. ESPN channels aren't included with ESPN+

ESPN Unlimited doesn't have ESPN, 2, U, SECN, etc.

Never mind. That's ESPN Select that doesn't have those.

that is crap. They are worth $30 a month if bought separately.

I use Disney plus. I can confirm it has ABC.

I switched away from U-verse three years ago due to the cost, but retained the ATT Fiber Internet.

I think now it's all Direct TV Stream

edit... Looks like ATT has kicked all of their TV back to DirectTV
And it aint cheap at all

Looking at FuboPro...
It does not seem to include ESPNU or ESPN News (quarterly does, but I didn't see pricing)...

If/when a game gets moved to those channels would they be available on the ESPN App?

this season I have been using Slingtv day pass ($5) plus the sport extra ($1) if it's on SEC network. It saves me a lot of money esp. if a game is on ABC and over the air.

Hate to tell you this but Uverse hasn't been offered as a new product in about 3 or 4 years. Everybody that had it prior is grandfathered in.

watching these networks holding the carriers hostage for more money is pathetic though, and they can get away with it bc they know the torch-and-pitchforks crowd is always gonna blame the carrier. Not the network.

Yes…but ESPN is ijvins Stent in getting the game stream up on the app. So cable/satellite/live tv streaming has a modest advantage.

Usually those are in a separate tier. I'm amused by folks saving money by annoying themselves then blaming others.
