Elko and his wife both at the last Rudys Coaching Show said he is not going anywhere.

For the record, Elko isn't leaving A&M for Penn State.

With that said, there isn't a lot of noise right now, but the longer Elko goes without signing an extension, the louder the noise is going to get, the more our players will be aware of it, and the more he will be asked about it. If he refuses to squarely address it and makes sarcastic comments to the press instead, that is just going to fan flames and create more drama. The one and only way this is not a distraction for Elko or the players as we approach the end of the season is if he signs an extension. Maybe he just doesn't want to think about it or deal with it right now during the season, but the longer it drags on, the more tangible of an adverse effect it will have on the season and on his team. Elko and A&M need to put all of it to bed.
