NEWSFLASH: College Football fans and media don't give respect to anyone they don't want to, no matter how much evidence there is to the contrary. I'm guilty of this myself. I consider any and every accomplishment tu has ever had to be ill-gotten or the result of extraordinary luck.

Let's just enjoy the wins, and to hell with anyone who doesn't respect them. The cool thing is that with a 12-team playoff, being underrated can't hurt us. The top 4 all get a bye. It really doesn't matter if Indiana and OSU are ranked higher, if we deserve to we'll get a chance to settle it on the field.

Whining about potential negative spin in the context of us winning a national championship is seriously next level.

That is not saying we don't deserve to be in the same breath as these other teams. In fact, it's saying the exact opposite.

The reality is that most reasonable people see these three teams as close. It's justifiable to say A&M should be No. 1. But it's also reasonable to say Indiana or Ohio State should be 1. Both teams have more wins over the top 25, by the way. Neither team struggled with a team as bad as Arkansas.

The media is not out to get us. Two analysts said on the ESPN show that A&M should have been 1. The Athletic wrote an article with the headline, "Indiana over Texas A&M is Playoff committee's misfire with initial rankings."

Lord, I wish we lived in a world where people didn't automatically assume malfeasance or conspiracy every time something happens that they don't like.

This times 1,000. Think about the rankings from other team's perspective. The common thread in the CFP top 10 is an easy schedule. Ohio St, Indiana, Ole Miss, Tech, BYU, and Oregon all have easier schedules than A&M, Georgia, Bama, and Notre Dame. It's not just A&M fans complaining about media bias..

We ARE in the same breath as OhSU and Indiana. Ohio State won last year and there is a **** load of recent history, particularly last year, bias in ANY ranking. That's nothing new. Indiana has, quite simply, blown people out. Their conference wins were by 53, 5, 10, 25, 50, and 45. Ours were by 6, 22, 17, 3, and 24. Only 2 of our conference opponents have won 5 games while 3 of their's have won 6 or more. Our win over ND doesn't make up for any of that. Too many of you seem to think it does.

Unless Indiana or Ohio State lose, they're almost certainly going to be seeded ahead of us. At the end of the year, we may have a BETTER argument in that respect, but right now, we don't.
