Since the media and the committee are looking for any reason to minimize our Ws for one reason or another, lets breakdown the scenarios.

Mizzou wins - obviously we drop. The 8-0 was a result of dysfunctional teams, sans ND. We end up in the #6-8 range and an additional loss to SC or tu would make us vulnerable to the whims of an at-large bid and possibly be left out, even with a 10-2 record.

Ags win, do not cover the -6.5 - Ags "continue to struggle" with opponents, clearly the QB issues at Mizzou kept them from winning the game. "Ags should have lost this game." Remain at #3, only because of the 0 in the loss column. Gap between Ags and Bama tightens.

Ags win by 7-14 - why didnt the Ags dominate Mizzou? Indiana or tOSU would have run it up on Mizzou.

Ags win by 15-50 - well clearly the Mizzou offense is unable to operate without Horn or Pribula, no credit is given to the Aggie defense for stopping them and resulting in short drives for the Aggie offense for the buzzsaw win.

I think we will go 12-0, thats not BAS.

But you can objectively see how the Committee, and by extension the media, have ignored their criteria of SoS/SoR to elevate some teams and devalue others. Youre a fool if you dont realize this fact.

The outcome hasn't been decided yet.

It cannot be disputed the committee completely ignored strength of schedule and record at the top of these initial rankings.

This is getting tiresome. Some of you are wasting energy whining about the media and worrying about this and that.

We're sitting here at 8-0 and have a very good chance of making the playoffs and all you can talk about is this conspiracy about how everyone is out to get us.

I know BAS is real but just relax and enjoy the success we're having now.

tbh they're doing us a favor this year. Our players have voices of doubt and antagonism hitting them from every direction except a) the coaches, b) the players and c) some fans. We've already had enough success this year to greatly solidify their belief in themselves and in the staff. That would not have happened as fast without the media's steady minimization of our accomplishments.

But, once things take hold and we have the development and pipelines in place to sustain this performance, media treatment can make all the difference. Grassroots media likes us (and we keep winning) => Disney is forced to put more of their chips behind us => institutional barriers (officiation, conference scheduling, CFP selection) start to evaporate.

That's modern CFB. And if Trev Alberts is sitting on his haunches waiting for all this to "just happen" and leaves 100% of the needle-moving to Elko & the players, Trev needs to be out on his a$$ TOMORROW.

Yes they would. UGA and Bama have played and beaten better teams than we have. Look at who we have played so far, every team is in the bottom half of the SEC.

What we have going on now is quite the opposite of BAS, people seem to think we are the best team in the country by far even with our weak schedule. Even though not even sunshine pumpers like me could ever have imagined we'd be in this position going to week 11.

Lord, I wish we lived in a world where people didn't automatically assume malfeasance or conspiracy every time something happens that they don't like.

I've said it in a 100 other threads this season.

Winning fixes everything. If you don't win, its all words. If you win v Mizzou, win v SC, win v t.u....the pundit class has no ammunition. If you are counting on your legacy or program reputation, then YES we are at a disadvantage because we really don't have a legacy to match our ambitions.
