Switch us with sips, exact same schedule/results, sips would be #1 in the country and we wouldn't be top 25.

So is B Kelly the big winner as this plays out. Does Jimmy Sexton represent him and Kiffin?

Sexton tells lsu to pay Kelly if you want to talk to Kiffin. Kelly gets paid, then Sexton asks Kiffin, where do you want to be?

How on earth are coaches taking lsu seriously after watching them welch on what they owe bk

If this does play out and Kiffin goes to lsu, it would be a simple matter of a dewshbag coach going to a dewshbag school.

Or is that Kirby?

Dabo to Bama

Dabo doesn't have another Trevor Lawrence coming down the pike anytime soon.

What is Kiffin's best win this year? Kiffin's career has been built on the fact that Ole Miss has had easy schedules the last 3 years and he STILL did very little-A Peach Bowl and a Gator bowl the last 2 years..Yippee..

Wouldn't put it past him to be trolling his rivals and stay at ole miss. Ultimate Kiffin move.

If Kiffin ends up at LSU, we will resume annual games against Kiffin led teams. Kiffin is an undefeated 3-0 against us, but I hope we beat his team for the first time ever.

2020: Ole Miss game was postponed several times before it was ultimately cancelled and probably cost us a playoff spot.

2021: 29-19 home win

2022: 31-28 road win

2023: 38-35 home win

Leach was a threat at a 3rd rate program.

This is a myth. Leach had exactly TWO 10+ win seasons, winning 11 games in 2008 at tech and doing the same a decade later at Wassu. In neither year, did his teams play in the CCG. Between 2000, when Leach started at tech, and 2022, his last year at MsSt, the Aggies had as many 9-win seasons as he did (other than the 2 above), not including A&M's 2012 season. This was mostly during a very mediocre to bad run for A&M.

So who exactly was he a threat to?

Leach pulled the wool over so many's eyes in this forum because his tech teams were largely successful against those mediocre to bad A&M teams, and other A&M teams with DCs that played right into his gimmick offense's hands. Meanwhile, neither OU nor t.u., at least not for the most part, had any trouble with tech.

If there are football gods, and I believe we all believe there are. They can not look kindly on a coach that would abandon his team right at the moment they had a real shot at winning it all.

I can't remember anything happening like this before, absolutely wild.

You mean like when Brian Kelly abandoned 11-1 ND in 2021?!

Crazier things have happened, but I can't see Kirby leaving UGA for another school. He has it made there and pretty much runs the athletic department.

I think that Kiffin is very similar to Buzz Williams.
He's always trying to leave town before things turn south, and the posse starts coming.

"Schools" aren't going to be able to do this two and three times over. This is high stakes poker, and the big blind is a bi+<h.

LSU is going to be in major trouble once BK's case escapes the swamp of the LA court system and makes its way to federal. Something something infringement upon contracts something something Constitution something. And he can afford to grind it out --pick up an analyst spot along the way, coast along until the inevitable "pay the man" moment. He doesn't have to settle. And when that bill comes due, it will be with interest.

You have to believe that LK knows all this. He's a drama queen, sure, but he also knows that at the end of the day, BK could end up draining LSU's cash reserves at a bad time; and as we've all said, if they can do it to one coach, they'll do it to another.

Florida. Screwing with LSU is a consolation prize he's throwing to Ole Miss for jilting them on the verge of the playoffs.

Or I'm wrong like I was at halftime last week. These things happen.

He will win at LSU as players rotate to the highest bidder that has a history of winning.

Ol Miss is suck and will never be a real contender.

We all thought that about Indiana just two years ago. NIL changes everything. And I hope for our sake the old paradigms are no longer in play.

If lsu hires the job hopper they knew what they were getting. He has already proven he'll do that at tenn. Same thing with fla.
He's really putting the screws to ole miss. Assumes the players wont give up

What has happened that would be crazier than this?

He's a coach at his alma mater, which is one of the top three programs in the country, due in large part to him. And it's currently set up for the future better than Alabama.

Why is it going to federal court?

He doesn't have to settle, but he's going to. It doesn't make financial sense not to.

LSU offered 30, he countered at 43, then they went to court. Common sense says they settle around 35-38

If Ole Miss makes the playoffs and Kiffin and doesn't coach them karma can be a *****. Ask Bill Freidler. He was the basketball coach in1989 at Michigan. He announced right before the NCAA tournament he was leaving for Arizona State at the end of the tournament. Bo Schembechler the AD told him if he doesn't want to be there he can go right away. He appointed Steve Fisher interim coach and they won the whole tournament as a 3 seed. Freidler in 8 seasons at ASU took them to 3 NCAA tournaments and only made as far as the sweet sixteen once

I agree but the fact that a basketball school with zero history in football is now a top 5 program, out of the blue, for two years running is pretty incredible.

I realize the landscape has totally changed, but I wish more schools would/could employ this Pure Country response to coaches.

I just have a "never say never" mindset when it comes to the college coaching carousel, but you're right. I doubt he'd even entertain the Bama job, plus UGA would match and exceed anything Bama could offer.

I can confidently say Kirby will never leave UGA for another college job by his own choice.
