Kinda like the Tulane- North Texas game tonight. Oh, right. Both teams are being coached by guys who are signed to coach elsewhere next year. We are not alone in this so just accept it as it is what it is.

Elko is football smarter than all of us. He wants to win. He will make sure Klein is focused. But if Klein leaves like you want do you think we are better off with a guy who has never called plays running the offense in the playoffs?

He is talking to k St fans. I promise you A&M and the playoffs will get his full attention. First he cannot recruit in December. But Klein has worked 2 years with these players. I cannot see him giving them anything less than his all. But I promise you Elko will demand his all. Look, Klein wants to win a championship too. He has a chance to coach and win in the playoffs. He is not going to just quit and not care or put in the hours to help his guys win. You think he want at least give Marcel his all to help him win after working with him for 2 years? I coached for the players. I bet Klein does too.

Yep Oregon, Ole Miss, and Ohio State should probably let some other team take their spots as well since their OC's have been hired elsewhere.

The Ole Miss comparison is nonsense.

Why is it nonsense? Their OC and most of their Offensive staff is leaving for LSU. Probably worse situation considering LSU and Ole Miss are conference foes and recruting a lot of the same kids.

Watched too many interviews of Klein return to KSU and how happy he is to be back "home and w his family' and his priorities to KSU (staff, recruiting, developing relationships w current players).

I definitely think to our detriment as he's way more interested and excited about KSU than finishing business w A&M (just like anyone going to a new job w people you know and like). Also the way Elko stated that this has been known for a while about this possibility (wk before tu game), think it's obvious Klein has been distracted and not focused on winning a game against our rival.

Think we need to cut bait as he's more interested in his career next steps than A&M next steps and success (we lose, the faster he gets to hoe or a HC).

We'll have what, 10 or so days to prepare for our first game? That's plenty of time to install the right game plan.

If anything, some fireworks on his way out of here will help him in recruiting/portal. I'm really not worried about this.

He's on a tough spot. He has to please both A&M and KState with whatever he says.

It's not optimal, but is it better than going with someone else? IDK, but trust Elko.

Elko's responsibility is 100% to Texas A&M. Wish Klein well and dismiss him. He's naturally going to be more concerned about his new gig, and Elko isn't being paid to care one iota about that.

Man that's a tough one. Why Elko gets paid the big bucks I guess. I would think the right thing to do would be let the employee finish the job he started but the employee also already took another job. I don't know. Good stuff. Should be interesting.
