Well earned W. It wasn't easy and we could have sulked. Not satisfying that we couldn't put a couple more in the net but we absolutely dominated the 2H and never gave up.

We are absolutely awful. This was a battle between a top 200 team and a top 300 team

At least we were the team with the late goal. It's been too much the other way for the last few years. I can't remember the last late goal we scored to win or even tie.

Sorry, not impressed! We were lucky tonight to score that late goal. We'll get our " backsides" handed to us in SEC play! Dang I hate to even say this but based on our play so far! I believe it is going to be a dismal season unless somehow we wake up and use the talents of our roster! Goodnight. And prayers for a much better tomorrow!

24-8 on shots, 9-1 on shots on goal, 13-3 on corners. Lamar had 2 chances to score that i remember and both were sort of just longer shots that hit the crossbar (Lamar coach kept yelling at his team to shot high from distance against our goalie). We gave the ball away too much and need to find better ways to score for sure. But man that was a pretty assist from Patterson (perfectly timed and weighted) and nice finish by Buchanan. As a Senior, Jernigan can't get that red card when we are up a player and it was feeling like just a matter of time before we scored. The red card gave them some life, but they still didn't really have good changes. Would've loved to see a 5-0 win like last year, but will take the W and move on. BTW, last year's stats in the 5-0 win: 25-6 shots, 11-3 shots on goal, 6-0 on corners..

G did publically tell the media during last season that he needed to replace his girls with better scorers… and according to what he said these were the best girls in the portal…

I don't see us scoring much against any team with a pulse

Buchanan and Diaz are really good, but just need to finish their opportunities better. Knoble didn't contribute much tonight, but I thought she looked good in prior game/scrimmages...she is fast and physical, so hoping today was just an off night. Jernigan gave us 3 pk's in the 2 scrimmages, but just hasn't been consistent and the red card was a killer. Still hoping Hoang is able to play this year. I don't know if Clark is a goal scorer, but she does some good things and tries to create for teammates. Cate and Storer are just freshmen, but both have potential.
