Aggie Soccer Vs. Lafayette

College Station, Texas

A&M returns home after a no contest on a disappointing road trip to Denver. On Sunday the Aggies face Lafayette. Not like the University of Louisiana (Lafayette), rather the Lafayette College located in Easton Pennsylvania.

The Lafayette Leopards are 1-1-2 on the season with a 1-0 win over Central Connecticut State, a 0-2 loss to Sienna, and ties against Drexel (1-1) and Seton Hall (0-0).

These Lafayette Leopards finished the 2024 season with a 5-6-4 record and a 2-3-4 record in Patriot League play.

This one had better be a shutout victory for the Aggies as they don't get easier than this.

As of 2:30, still a few drops after a gully washer. Trying to clear up. Temps in 70's now. The pitch drains well.

This seems like a game that should have been one of the first 2 games of the season. A&M should be slowly ramping up for SEC play with better competition. Next week is Stephen F.Austn.

Hoang and Torn played in their first college games. Hoang played at Denver but it didn't count. Veronda and Descheneax played in their first games of the season. Veronda played at Denver but it didn't count.
Lavender, Wilson, Hutchins and Clark were not in uniform. Clark had a big wrap on one knee. The only players in uniform who did not play were Fuller and Goodwin.
It seemed like Noble was looking to pass more than looking to shoot after her third goal.
Lafayette used 25 players.

This one should be good for morale and the locker room. I liked the link up play and movement a lot better. Not trying to bypass midfield with long balls over the top.
