yeah, Ream is going to be a liability back there for the US.

Maybe, Australia was mostly playing long down the left side.
There are ways of providing cover for a player like Ream against tactics like that.
I think we looked magnitude sharper than Turkey as well offensively. Will be important to take the lead early against australia.

I could see this being a tight 1 goal game and I could also see us winning by 2-3 goals again

Also to address the Ream concern… I was stunned when Ream won that foot race late (75' ish) against Paraguay. So I think he can do it when it happens infrequently. He got plenty of time that game to take it easy because we owned possession. Australia ought to be similar.

IMO it's against the big boys who play on the front foot where we'll see Ream get smoked because they'll be faster and running at him more frequently. I suspect for R16, rotating him (or maybe even benching him outright) will be mandatory.

I think Trusty is the other left foot dominant CB and I wonder if coaches think he's getting close to Ream with touch and decision making.

I think McKenzie is right-foot dominant but plays as a #5 LCB a lot for club. I don't trust him anywhere though.

I think if we happen to get a 3 score lead, we have to use Trusty to save old man Ream's legs. Honestly I was stunned it didn't happen last game.

I don't mind seeing McKenzie out there, though I acknowledge the drop off is big. Miles Robinson is the CB I hope we never need to use.

Just reported that Pulisic is day to day. Nothing ground breaking there.

agree to an extent, but the drop off in possession and creating chances was a very noticeable step down in 1H with Pulisic vs 2H with Berhalter.

I like the idea of two up top, too - but I'd like to think the alternative to that idea has gotta be to bring on an attacking mid or winger (Gio, Aaronson, Weah), not Berhalter.
