Pepi is not on the same level as Balogun. It really isn't close. I thought it might be closer and a case to f each has their particular skill set, but it is more than that. Pepi just doesn't have the quickness or vision. Let's hope Flo stays healthy. He might be the key for us.

I feel like Pepi does a decent job with pressure on the backline, and he has moments of good linkup play. He's just not a good enough striker to be the starter. But he's better than any striker we had last World Cup so glad he's the backup.

In the end, the only things that needed to happen was no one on a card played, no one picked up a card suspension and no real starter got hurt.

All of that was accomplished.

We played a B team and nothing bad happened.

The WC really starts next week.

Matt Turner sucked. He should never see the field for team USA ever again. Overrated his whole career.

Mediocre goalkeeping has really held down USA the last few cups .. when that was before seemingly always an area of strength. Got to get development going there.

That's a pretty weak argument, seeing how refs rarely affect plays in basketball, football, hockey, and pretty much every other sport out there. The refs learn how to be in proper position so they can officiate and stay out of the way.

While the loss means nothing on paper, it's disappointing how they lost. Are there intangible consequences due to this game? Who knows.

LA crowd was lame; no juice. I'm no fan of Seattle but that crowd was jacked up.

And if anything… I'd argue it helps grow interest in the sport. It's good for average Joe to see that famous people like soccer and want to be there. It puts it on the same pedestal as major playoff games in other sports.

Yeah, I know that and don't want the US to lose before then (or at all, for that matter). Just weary of LA and the TV's search for celebs in crowd.

Personal opinion but can't stand Los Angeles and have always disliked the sports love for them. It is what it is, though.
