Before I read it, if we make trades and moves, we should be making them for long-term players only. We aren't one player away from being favorites in the West, so keep the powder dry.

Is it crazy for me to like the Fox trade the best out of those 4 scenarios?

I had the same thought. Jabari Smith would fit nice next to Wemby. However, the optics of immediately trading away a player of his caliber that forced his way here is a bad look to future players that may want to come to San Antonio.
This isn't going to be a popular opinion, but I think if there's really concern about all of the overlap between Fox, Castle, Harper then the Castle is the smartest move. His value will probably never be higher coming off of being ROY and if he never turns into an average shooter then he's basically already at his ceiling.
I'm still in favor of drafting Harper and seeing what kind of development Castle has made and figuring it out from there. Like it was mentioned in the article, we don't wanna be the Kings that moved on from Haliburton too quickly because of fit.

I completely disagree with KOCs theory of the best possible approach to maximize Wemby. Great shooting is obviously great to have but I'd argue that finding playmakers who are also really good defenders is harder. The Spurs have a chance to have three elite guards, they should absolutely take it. Everyone will shoot a higher percentage when every shot is wide open. That is the sneaky secret to OKCs success. They haven't even shot that well in the playoffs and yet have dominated.
Updated odds via @DKSportsbook on where Kevin Durant will play next season:

The Spurs explore roster changes and improving the team 24-7-365. 90% of things thrown against the wall don't stick. That said, I do think there is more activity than normal during this pre-draft process. Numerous do-able scenarios in play. I don't think moving Castle or #2 are…

Houston and San Antonio aren't going to be trade partners.
I think you can extend Fox and if Castle/Harper take off, you can still move him pretty easily in two or three seasons, if desired.
I do think KD ends up in SA. Just hope the Spurs don't give up too much. Obviously what to do with Vassell and the upcoming Sochan extension are the two big questions here. Hard to gauge what the Spurs are thinking with these two guys.
If we take Durant, that extension better be pretty cheap. 25% of the cap is probably too much.FTAG 2000 said:
Hearing that KD is trying to force the trade to SA.
Also that Fox and him are both going to sign extensions for home town discounts.

SI's trade proposal for Durant is the first one I would agree to.
Atlanta Hawks Receive: Devin Vassell, Malaki Branham
Phoenix Suns Receive: Harrison Barnes, Terance Mann, 2025 1st round pick (via ATL, from SAS, #14)
San Antonio Spurs Receive: Kevin Durant, Kobe Bufkin, 2025 1st round pick (via SAC, from ATL, #13)
Could you imagine the rage that Hawks fans would have if we fleeced them again?

The Spurs are now overwhelming betting favorites to acquire Kevin Durant, per @DKSportsbook:

San Antonio: -160
Rockets: +600
Knicks: +800
Timberwolves: +850
With the odds this heavy in favor of San Antonio, definitely something to monitor closely. pic.twitter.com/pLSo5vwVC5
