Really thought Indiana would extend him.

I would have liked to have him, but I'm not too upset either.

Wouldn't mine Boucher +Nance for the last two spots maybe.

Milwaukee is really going all in to build around Giannis to keep him. Must be some real smoke about him potentially wanting out to make these moves. East is wide open next year, so they're betting on trying to make a run.

That's just great. Starting C has DVT and the backup has cancer.

Bucks paying dame $22mm annually for the next five years without him being on the roster is something. Didn't have that on my bingo card.

Surprised the Spurs didn't make Yabusele happen. Seems like they possibly want Sochan soaking up as much minutes as possible at the 4.

FA left I would be interested in

Hortford: not enough money
Larry Nance: not a great rim protector, coming off injury, more of stretch 4
Thomas Bryant: as just a 3rd string absolutely
Boucher - so he stops killing us
Jabari Walker. Upswing young guy
Marvin Bagley as 3rd string center
Bol Bol for the LOL

Thomas Bryant or Bagley as 3rd string center

Nance, Boucher or Walker as 3rd string PF

Knicks outbid us. I think they tried hard but our deal was like 2y10.5m or 3-4y deal starting at 4.7 or whatever we had left of the MLE. Not enough to get it done sadly

Spurs got out bid and New York had more obvious minutes to offer him.

Yea. I bet it was more playing time and role than anything No state taxes levels the salary a little bit.

Probably role more than anything. I just thought if the Spurs/Wemby really wanted to make it happen the relationship was there to do so. Oh well.

The Kings are looking sad. Who can we fleece them for. New Orleans as well. Trey Murphy please.

I like Walker at the other forward spot. He's still very young, rebounds well, shot 38% from 3 this last season. He has some upside and maybe he plays his way into more minutes, but if not he's fine for your 3rd string PF.

I like Thomas Bryant for the last center spot. More size than the other guys listed.

Probably what I would do.

Doesn't appear Utah has a ton of options for Collins.

Doubt they'll go for it but still think Keldon and some 2nd round picks for Collins would make sense. Can see first hand what Collins can do and don't really lose anything of value even if it doesn't work out. Get to retain Barnes and add another nice frontcourt player.

I'm actually okay if we don't use the BAE. We have a 10-man rotation set, assuming we don't make any trades. I understand it.
Sher Thing

It's a pretty flawed rotation. Outside of the ping pong balls falling our way it has actually been some pretty uninspiring GM work. Signing a backup center and calling it an offseason really did nothing to address our shooting woes and the roster just isn't put together that well. Not to mention our ATL picks losing major value and us just kicking pick 38 down the road.

I understand wanting to be patient though. In reality, Wemby and Fox have played like 5 games together, I believe. Should still be an exciting team to watch and maybe something materializes near the trade deadline instead.

I agree. After this year I think it will continue to fill out. Keldon/HB/Malaki/Wesley likely aren't part of this team's long term plans. Devin and Champ are still question marks for me.
Sher Thing

I'm holding out hope we can flip Keldon and 2nds for Collins. It's a low commitment move and in reality, you could easily include Collins again in another trade if something bigger materializes near the trade deadline. It also provides a little cap relief with Keldon off the books even if it doesn't work out.

I think having a third string center that can eat up some minutes is important in the case of foul trouble or injury.

I don't care about that. Backup forward spot as much but I would take jabari Walker on a small contract just to see if he develops for us.

If we can, we absolutely should not use the bae because then we can use it next year

We have almost as much in the the mid-level exception as we do in the biannual exception.

Give Thomas Bryant and Walker one year deals with team option for second.

Have to have 14 players. We have 13.

Yeah, I don't think so either. My guess is he ends up in Miami for Rozier.
