Dylan Harper and Carter Bryant combining for 24 seconds of lockdown defense. How fun is this? pic.twitter.com/KaPrDLc3jc

Don't know if I'd calling defending the drive lol. Just let him go right by and recovered well

I'm going to overreact and say this team has potential to be really special defensively in a couple years.

Is it really an overreaction when the Spurs have the best defensive player in the league already plus two young, plus, defenders in Castle and Sochan, and you add Kornet and Bryant to that mix, plus a defensive specialist coaching hire?
The Spurs will be able to put a very strong defensive unit on the court this season. The key is whether they can keep enough of the plus defenders on the court and still score.
Cooper Flagg talks about Carter Bryant after the game:

“He’s an incredible player, really good person as well… plays really good defense, he didn’t look tired at all… I was definitely feeling a bit gassed”
We’re CBMuse but Coop is a stellar athlete and person! Great guy⭐️ pic.twitter.com/wHwwTQlY6N

After last two games I see a scenario where Bryant starts before Harper.
Starting 5
Fox
Castle
Bryant
Barnes
Wemby
Second five
Harper
2 of Vassel-Johnson-champegne
Sochan
Kornet
End of bench
Olynk
McLaughlin
Jones-Garcia
Bryant take other teams best offensive 1-4. And hounds for first 6-8 minutes. Plays about 20 min a game but it is full go.
Just has to make the wide open 3s (which there will be with this team) and run the floor for fast break buckets.
Makes us bigger and better defensively. We already have 3 20 pt scores in starting lineup. Everyone can't shoot on same possession.
Thoughts?

To start. Bench and end of game gonna be different.

I think we are going to see a lot of tinkering with lineups this season. Wemby and Fox are only the sure fire starters right now imo.

Obviously I know it's early, but I wonder at what point over the next three seasons Harper is going to pass Fox as the better PG. Yes, he can play off ball but he is most valuable with the ball in his hands. I think the coaches are going to have to make that decision sooner than we think. I know it's a hot take, but I see Fox best suited as a super 6th man eventually.

Reed Sheppard seems like a whiner. They had him mic'd up for the SL game and most of it was him complaining to the refs.
