I still can't believe they let him walk. Am I remembering correctly that he wanted an $8m deal? And they replaced him with Jac Pederson on an $8m deal?

The projections were that he would get somewhere between $9-10MM in arbitration. He's making around $20MM a year right now. Yeah, that was a big miss.

To be fair, he was coming off a season he hit .188 albeit the shortened season. It was also when there was still no DH in the NL.

That being said, still agree he had enough of a track record to not dump for that little amount.

Not much you can do if they aren't losing. I don't understand how the Brewers continue to win year in and year out with a very unimpressive roster on paper.
