I think it's safe to say we would have melted the F down if Dana gave up Brice, Spaghetti, and two other prospects for a 2 month rental who apparently isn't a big fan of the team. No thank you. The M&M boys likely could have fixed your **** but have fun continuing to suck.

Everyone is ****ting on it, but I think it was the right play by San Diego. That GM is a shark and wheels and deals like crazy. Their moves the last few years have been really impressive with all the buying and selling they do.
Ultimately they didn't need to move Cease and are in the hunt for the postseason. It sounded like we were the ones who desperately wanted Cease. They asked for the moon and held their ground, and luckily it sounds like we did too (although it sure sounds like it was close).
Think the Padres were just playing smart hardball and luckily Dana and Crane stood firm.

So, with Pena at SS for the next couple of years, and now Correa at 3B. Does Bregman take 2B next year once he decides he liked winning in Houston better than losing in Boston?

Nd walkers defense has to be light years better than Victor. Yes Walker defense hasn't been the best but for sure better than Victor

Sucks that we were "at the one yard line" but I wonder if that's when San Diego said "oh yeah, Brice is a deal breaker."
