Eh the BP kept us in it and only gave up a single run, Framber being off today is what got us. NY has one good reliever and they used him at the end and he came and shut things down.

Terrible... Can't score any additional runs with the bases loaded, Framber craters on himself yet again, and Joe picks the worst reliever for the situation. Inexcusable not to win that game

who else would he put in at that situation, we burned Souza, Hader and Abreu last night, king was the next man up. This game was always going to be dependent on framber being good framber and he just wasn't and couldn't get through the 6th even

With the next 3 series coming, we are in big trouble unless we get out of this meandering

we are on the road against a team also fighting for their lives, I swear if we don't sweep every game we are horrible. There are holes but every team has holes. The Yankees had a 6 game lead in the division a month ago and now are on the wild card bubble, we are still nearly 5 games clear in the playoffs, we just have to keep winning series

Even with Bad Framber this game was winnable or at least extendable if the middle of our lineup were competent hitters.

They just aren't. That's the truth.

None of these guys should be playing at this point.

Stick caratini at 2 every day. Find another catcher.

The real failure of WAR as a stat is that Diaz can't get -1.0 from this game.

strange to say but Ort has definitely outperformed King over the last month.

Can't give up homers from the bullpen, they kill ya everytime

Here's the bottom line… You've had inconsistent pitching the last few weeks, the top four in your lineup are awesome and then everybody else is below average or awful.

Also, your leading homerun hitter is on pace for 25. There is not a lot of power in this lineup outside of a couple of guys.

Being unclutch is this teams identity.

Since the beatdown of the Dodgers in LA ending 7/6/25:
10-17 record
Lost 5 of the last 8 series (6 of 9 if we lose tomorrow)
Been swept 3 times (CLE, Athletics, @BOS)
Division lead reduced from 7 games to potentially 0.5

Meanwhile, everybody is yucking it up in Corpus, Palm Beach, and sugarland.

No urgency.

Late August / September will be too late.

Won't win many when 5-8 spots go 0-14 with 6 punchies.

There better not be anybody getting the day off tomorrow besides Diaz.

Pena, Sanchez, Altuve and Correa need to be in the lineup every day until November

Im not comfortable dogging Alvarez for what we don't know. The dude battled at the beginning of the season and obviously was a shell of himself playing with a broken hand. It's almost like an injury like that has a large effect on your ability to swing the bat well.

From what I can tell there is not a lot to do for his injury other than letting it heal completely. Im not sure what else folks expect him to do. He tries to come back and is still in pain. Do you want him to man up and play through the pain? Im sure you'll also be the one complaining when he is batting .210 with no power.

It overall sucks, but I have seen nothing that shows he doesn't want to get back. In fact, if he hadn't tried to come back too soon multiple times, maybe he'd already be back by now.
