Yordan wants the team to fly him to Baltimore to play tonight. They were hoping to give him a few more ABs and bring him up this weekend. We'll see what happens. He says he's ready to go.

Cam's wRC+ by month:

June - 137
July - 59
August - 15
It has to be in his head now. He needs to sit.

He's just completely worn down. It's unfortunate.

Does diaz make him unable to locate his pitches or throw a good curve ball?

Did Diaz tell him not to cover behind the plate on throws from the OF?

I think Diaz has a hard time picking up the ball from Framber. Or he's lazy. He had another wild pitch yesterday where he didn't even get off his knee and just reached for a ball. When that ball was just out of reach. One of the wild pitches was squarely on Framber. Ball bounced in the batters box.

Put me in the camp of being anti-OKD (one knee down) for catchers.
They can't block or throw out runners as effectively.

the Astros need Yordan to come back and be a .900 to .950 OPS hitter
basically carry the team for the last month -- like he has in the past

Maybe it'll go away with roboumps. Isn't that why they're thought to do it?

Not going to say it's not possible. But, IMO, doesn't necessarily look like Diaz is getting crossed up. Just that he's not tracking the ball sometimes.

Maybe it'll go away with roboumps. Isn't that why catchers are taught to do it? To help give the ump a clearer view.
