I'm just hoping that 1 out of the 3 can emerge as a reliable #3 starter by the end of the season.

These guys haven't pitched much, so it's understandable that this month has been rocky. But we really need at least one to become stable and reliable.

Maybe Garcia comes back for some long relief type role too.

speaking of the wildcard...

with the Tigers and Blue Jays surging this week...and the Royals and Guardians slumping

it looks like the 4 wildcard teams will be the Astros, Mariners, Red Sox, and Yankees

approximately 30 games left to determine the pairings (and the locations)

Walker had a great entire July, before Carlos got here. He's just been keeping it going since Carlos has rejoined the Astros.

I love Carlos, but give Walker his credit for battling this season and working out his earlier season demons.

He's had a .318 BA and a .833 OPS the entire month of July. He's being doing it the entire second half of the season.
