Framber also lost himself millions with his bull****. He'll still get paid, but not the amount or timeframe he could have commanded at the beginning of the year.

This is a bad team playing out the string, why would he risk hurting himself?

Almost forgot what it was like to have a team no-show like this having been absolutely spoiled and witnessing a baseball run like few others over the last near decade Have to remember not just the injuries, but the bad timing of them this year that will have us on the outside looking in. Go Stros, and hopefully we punch the right buttons for a couple more runs before Altuve starts to really decline.

Not sure if you agree, but I think Altuve's steep decline has already started.

I mean like "no cartilage bone on bone can't throw to a base" decline like bagwells last year.

Crane pushed some chips in at the deadline

Team has just not been competitive down the stretch

Astros players and coaching staff should be forced to watch every second of the Mariners celebration clinching the division at the completion of our game in the minor league locker room

You get a Homer

You also get a Homer

Everybody gets a Homer

I want to hear from the ones who told us how wrong and stupid we were for talking about how bad this team was playing and how it was just "dog days of summer" or "it's too early to panic"

Might as well start the off season thread now since we are certainly playing like it has already started.

Zero reason for anyone injured to play at this point.

I wouldn't be surprised if Altuve decides to retire this year.

Anybody opposed to calling up Matthews and Dezenzo for the Angels series to play 2B/1B

Yordan is all over my bingo card so I didn't call him getting hurt. But I did bring up that his EV was the lowest of his career and just didn't have the same pop very early on. He was clearly not right and the data agreed even at the outset of the season.

Going down in the most embarrassing way possible

Espada gifted the best job he'll ever have in his life and doing absolutely nothing to save it

Including tonight's loss the Astros are like 23-28 ever since Framber was allowed to just start shtting on his teammates publicly after that loss v the Nats at the end of July

Props to the Astros fan still at the game suffering through this.

I had been excited to go to LA to watch the Angels series, so im just thankful they **** the bed early enough for me to not waste my time and money on going. Looking at Espada in the dugout, he looks like he knows he is a dead man walking and he and everyone on the team cant wait to get this season over with

I very much am not ready for this. I love the guy and it's hard to think of anyone else that I'd pick as all-time favorite Astro...

But I am ALREADY dreading his ABS challenges that I expect will rival his baserunning prowess.

I think 2026 and beyond Altuve needs to go opposite field much more often. Of course still ambush the high inside fastball if he can but less pulling in general.

Time to shut Paredes down, would be nice for him to avoid going under the knife and missing half of next season

apologies for being right, although it's not like shutting us down is anything special

Well I was wrong. We got 3 hits off of him instead of the 2 I predicted. Bully for us!

Lack of any urgency with a playoff spot on the line is a massive indicator of a dysfunctional team

Tigers might not win another game this season and could still sneak into the playoffs thanks to our inability to score runs.

Conversely, Detroit is managing to keep our playoff hopes alive, despite losing five straight.
