Just goes to show that trotting out those "give up" lineups all summer, trying to steal extra days off for guys is fool's gold.
All that extra rest and they still laid turds all September. Even in an 162 game season, it's borderline moronic to just give away 1 or 2 games a week all summer.
That mind set by Espada was a killer.

Philly seems like the best team to me, although I admit to having not watched much of the Brewers. That said, the town already has the Eagles, and I have a deep conviction that multiple titles in a year is sports communism. They join LA and NY as absolute no's in my choices.
I'm going to watch 0 playoffs but I think the Brewers have a good chance and it would be good for that org to win a WS

he did not homer at Daikin this season...and only drove in 4 runs in 47 home starts

Astros Bingo 2025 has come to an end.
In bizarre fashion, all 3 of the people who contributed prize money/merchandise finished in the top 2 spots in the standings.
Before we kicked it off, I said I'd pay the winner $50. Marvin matched me for $50 and ntouch said he'd contribute a custom tumbler to the winner a few days later.
Marvin and I finished tied for first with 10 squares each.
ntouch, wmitchell, Chief Elko, and wangus12 finished second with 9 squares apiece.
Since it wouldn't make much sense for Marvin and I to Venmo each other $50, we decided to be ineligible way back when.
So here's the prize breakdown:
MARVIN gets the tumbler, courtesy of ntouch when he gets off his death bed. Marvin was first to 10 squares.
NTOUCH, WMITCHELL, CHIEF ELKO and WANGUS12 get $25 each to spend on their heart's desire, whether that's an autographed Joe Espada baseball, 5 months of Texags, or a seat behind home plate for Rangers' Opening Day 2026 (because they suck).
So I'll be PMing you 4 if you have stars to see how your info is. 2 of you will get $25 from me and the other 2 from Marvin.
My prize is the thread and the team and having a very reliable thing to do just about every day during a tough time of life. Cheers to all 40 people who participated. We'll definitely run it back in 2026.

There will be changes - the extent of which remains to be seen but there will almost certainly be changes.
