If the question is would you rather have Pressly or Neris, I'm on team Pressly
He actually had a pretty long stretch of great relief work this season and is a proven playoff winner

Pressly was a bttch ass about not being the closer last season

Who would you take to get 1 out in the 9th inning right now:Pressley or 48-year-old Brad Lidge who hasn't pitched since 2012?

Framber
Brown
Javier
Arrighetti
There's your top 4 starters. Then McCullerd, Garcia, Walter, and Alexander to provide 5th and potentially 6th starters down the stretch.
Sousa making his case to be the lefty middle relief guy in the pen.

random baseball thought this morning because I was looking at the active HR leaders.
it is absurd that Mike Trout is one of the best baseball players ever and he might as well not even exist. Completely irrelevant career with regards to the league and especially now...you dont even see videos of him on Twitter.
I forget he even plays until we play the Angels
how have they never traded him? makes no sense

Those are his games played for the last six seasons… I think that's the biggest issue. Being injured all the time and being on a bad team is a pretty bad combination for popularity.
New superstars have emerged in his absences

if Lance is still out there...
time to begin the bullpen experiment
see if he can be an effective 1 inning guy

Don't know who would want to take this contract on given he's going to miss chunks of every season.
They should have traded him when his value was higher and they would have gotten an insane haul from a team like LAD, NYM, or NYY

Would you trade Meyers for Trout plus $15 million per year for the life of the contract?

If you could guarantee me he'd play 110+ games a year, yes. He's still a 30+ HR guy and he crushes it at Daikin
This years stats and Jake has only played 2 less games than him in 2025 (89 games for Jake, 91 for trout)
