Things ebb and flow. The team is sometimes good and sometimes sucks. You just want to be good more than you are bad. The pendulum will swing back the other way soon enough.

He was hit five times in that series and I believe three of the HBPs came from the same pitcher. I would be pissed, too.

Well... Chalk that up as a loss

While I agree with your overall sentiment, I can't think of the last time a good team lost games 14-1, 7-0, 12-0, and 10-0 in a week and looked so completely and utterly overmatched.
Watching our offense swing at everything that is thrown is starting to make me feel like I'm watching James Harden play his BS brand of offense. it's my hometown team, but it's getting hard to root for the same miserable idea of offensive strategy night after night.

With how this season has gone the offense might explode against Skubal today.
Seems like the offense has been reverting back to some of last year's overreliance on hitting homers especially with 2 strikes.

Chas better be playing long toss by the 2nd inning.

This is the first time in more than 20 years -- April 2005 -- the Astros have been shut out three times in a four-game span. They went to the World Series that year.

I will agree with you there. It's hard to support the current plate approach.

Unfortunately, those games were 1-0 (STL), 2-0 (PIT), 2-0 (PIT).

Unfortunately, there were also some absolutely putrid offenses over the following 10 years that did not accomplish this "amazing" lowlight.agproducer said:Drunken Overseas Bettor said:agproducer said:

So, while Yordan's been out he's been working on being a switch hitter?
