I don't think Diaz is a worse hitter than Salazar, but I grew more and more concerned with Diaz's effort level when he's in the field and when he is batting. The fact you are even upset Sousa and Walter are on the IL speaks VOLUMES about the Astros pitching lab.

It is good to know you are for keeping pitchers from getting hurt and making them less effective while the rest of the league continues to do what they're doing.

I'm no expert and I didn't even stay at a Holiday Inn Express recently, but I'm wondering if the decline we're seeing over the past 2 years in Yanier's bat is a direct result in his role as the everyday catcher.

We all know how much time goes into prepping for that role and what it takes away from the hitting aspect.

I wish there was a way they could get him out from behind the plate and see if that improves his hit tool. Unfortunately with Yordan and Altuve the DH spot isn't an option.

Wonder if there are any long term plans to move him elsewhere like I don't know...1B? Maybe use the next 2 years to groom him to take Walker's spot after he is sent to pasture.

My buddies and I talked about this the other day. That maybe Dusty wasn't such a total idiot with the way he managed Chas and Diaz.

There are third-down backs in the NFL who can't handle 25 carries a game.
There are bench players in the NBA who are great for 15 minutes off the bench, but suck when they have to go 35.
