He's likely gone after this season, he's rather publicly crapped on his teammates twice in the last month, and he's pitching poorly. Kind of an opportunity here for Joe to deal with that and rally the team. Make it a suspension or just bench him and skip a start. Can be a strong message that it isn't tolerated no matter who you are.

Framber losing his shtt and making bad pitches in a meltdown has happened before. Only new thing here is blaming teammates for his screwup.

Joe needs to get a handle on this, no matter if public discipline or not.

Him not getting starts down the stretch in a close playoff race, in a contract year, will say plenty.

So whatever is going to happen will be announced soon. If nothing happens then pretty much it's 'let's flush this year and it's on to 2026.'

But Crane didn't make that type of move at the deadline - meaning, if Joe doesn't act maybe Dana will.

Sportscenter just highlighted it in their replay. Froze it to highlight Salazar's reaction and commented that Volpe looked like he was thinking "Aren't you guys teammates". Sportscenter made it out to be more of a "weird" thing that happened versus something serious at this point. But its getting out there mainstream

Legitimate question … does anyone recall a teammate seemingly as ****ty as Framber? Three starts within the last month come to mind where he's blamed teammates for his poor performance, and now gone rogue in the middle of a game.

More importantly … Does Espada have the balls to sit his ass? I'll take a double shot of that vintage Correa leadership any day now.

Carlos Gomez and Rat Fiers come to mind. Reddick has told the story multiple times if how he threw a pity party hissy fit on the team group text when JV was acquired because it was going to take innings away from him.

And no, not doesn't have the balls nor authority, that would have to come from Dana.

If you read the story on front page of ESPN it's pretty clear nothing is going to come of this. They've decided that Salazar pushing the wrong button is the official story. You'll never convince me that is the truth.

Mfer made a dumb decision to throw a dumb pitch costing his team a chance at a win in a tight playoff race then added to it by then trying to punish and blame his teammate in real time.

I mean cue the 'there's no I in team' speech.

Yes Framber can be really good.

The last month has shown the other side of Framber we all know. Tonight was a new level and perhaps shows that him blaming the defense five weeks ago should've been more harshly dealt with.

if you think about it...

the way to hit the catcher intentionally would be to call for a curve ball but then throw the fastball instead -- which is what happened

calling for a fastball but then throwing a curve...would likely result with a ball in the dirt and not directly hit the catcher

Look at Framber's face when he receives the ball back from Salazar. Says it all. You can't hide that **** and lie about the intent. It's clear as day. Framber isn't good at hiding his emotions.

"Elite starters" don't give up 6 ER in 5 innings. We can afford to be without that kind of pitching right now.

Not a good look at all with that Framer incident.
Time to send him down to Corpus, maybe that would get his attention. But with his attitude he would quit!

I still think that around the trade deadline, either the team told Framber they were not going to make an offer to resign him or they gave him an offer that was well below what he thought he deserves so he's quiet quitting (well, no so quiet now). Disappointing because the guy has elite stuff when he has his head in the game. But at this point I think they're better off without him than with him. Time for some addition by subtraction.
