Likelihood seems high that Altuve and Paredes end up covering 2B and LF.
You'll get payroll relief when Framber walks.

They really need to consider trading Yordan. Altuve needs to DH fulltime until he retires and Yordan prevents that and he is far too injury prone for a man in his 20s. Besides, he's really the only player on the team with any significant trade value.
And as stated multiple times by others on this thread, they should try their damnedest to trade away Dubon, Diaz, and Walker.

And so goes the Astros firing a manager every year before realizing the window has closed. Imagine signing either Bregman or Tucker. Then you'd be like the Red Sox or the Cubs. Gee, what do they have in common?

Realistic squares still left in play:
Miss/make the playoffs
Montero <> 4.50 ERA - currently at 4.58
Unrealistic squares still left in play
Tucker 25 HR (has 22)
Judge 55 HR (has 52)
Walker 90 RBI (has 86)

Still thinking about last night, and I'm still pissed.
Why do you pitch to Trout at all? He's the only real dangerous threat in the lineup. And he hit two bombs off you, including the game winner. Unintentionally intentionally walk him. Just stupid.

If you're keeping Altuve and think he has to DH from now on, then Yordan has to go. He can be some other team's frustration for 100+ games a year.
Trading Brown or Pena is nuts.

I don't think he has to full time DH but he needs to get significant time there. This happens with all great players, they become old and meh. You can easily fade his deficiencies if your team around him is good enough.
I'm normally the blow it up guy but I don't buy that it is completely necessary. We had an absolute crap ton of injuries that you just can't plan for. I'd like to make one trade of a guy with big value (Pena or Yordan), grab a free agent pitcher, grab a lefty utility bat and see what we can do. Using Pena as an example, maybe you can trade with Detroit to get Raynor and Briceno. That's a significant boost to the farm and Briceno may be able to take over 1B by end of 2027.
