Like some others, I mostly lurked…threw in a bit here and there, but not much to say that hasn't already been said.

Just to reinforce the point about losing too many games to bad teams, we're going to miss the playoffs after going 8-1 against the Dodgers, Phillies and Cubs.

Espada to me would make a decent "good cop" bench coach, but this group needed a "bad cop" at times and there wasn't one on this coaching staff. To be fair, that dude wasn't on our roster, either. The Framber-Salazar situation was not handled well on any level.

Will be an interesting offseason.

So much of baseball is timing, we got those three teams in a 2 week stretch when the power of friendship and black magic was at a yearly high.

Watching Altuve half-a*** it really ticked me off.

This didn't age well

Just a reminder these guys are dealing with shlt we have no clue about.

Props to Jose for nutting up and toughing it out. GOAT

To me that makes that entire end of game moves by Joe even more indefensible against the Blue Jays. Urias is a better runner and fielder than altuve even when 100%….

.202/.283/.343 19 total xBH, 8 HR 34 RBI
.265/.311/.482 33 xBH and 19 HR, 54 RBI

One of those was CW at home. One of the was CW on the road. That's .167 difference home vs road.

Road CW is a top 5 1B. I would take that all day long.

He didn't cost this team the playoffs, but if he's not so abysmal at home we are in.

Regardless of what any fan thinks of Dana, the idea of firing two GMs in 3 years (one coming off a WS) reeks of a meddling ownership. There's simply no way you can make a judgement that quickly.

I think firing both just dooms you for the next few years because they won't find a GM in time to do what needs to be done. They'll just keep the same players and sign some aging players because Crane and Bagwell love plucking guys from the baseball version of independent living.

I'm indifferent towards Dana. I think he's done enough to deserve another year, but if management lets him go I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

It's more than fair to say that Espada isn't a big league manager. He seems to be a great bench coach, but some guys just don't have the makeup to be the guy in charge and that seems to be true of Joe. It would be very underwhelming if he's managing the squad next season

Dana was fine. His trades before and during the season were very very good.

Cam and E Sock for one year of Tucker was A+ IMHO.

Getting Walker in FA was a C. Home Walker was an F, away Walker an A-

Wesneski for Pressly is an A for unloading the salary but an INC with the TJ to Wes.

Sanchez was a season bust but he's going to work out and be a solid LHH. Urias may well be worth it is the new manager uses him. He may be the infield replacement for Dubon.

His lineup construction that was so RHH heavy for so long was not good but it's not his fault Yordan didn't fix his hand in the offseason or that the left handed hitting savior Josh Cole didn't come up sooner.

It's not Dana's fault for all the injuries or the complete lack of power that some players had.

I'm not arguing he should stay, I'm arguing the timing of it. Fire Joe this year, pick up Dana's option, and start searching for a president of baseball operations. Have him in place by the end of next year, fire Dana, and that way you have some continuity into the 26 offseason rather than letting the council of old men run wild on raiding the free agency retirement home.

Yep. Joe sealed his fate for me the moment Framber was allowed to make his regular next start after the assault.

If he had suspended Framber and not made the playoffs I would have respected that choice.

Get ready for another Jeff Bagwell off-season

Dana's done enough for another year, but does Crane plan to offer Dana an extension ? If not and he has a new GM, that's not Ausmus, in mind, I'd say make both changes. Why hire a HC only when the GM supporting him is gone a year later?

Next year you put him on the IL with discomfort and bring him back for the road.

Dana has done a pretty good job. He had pieces together this roster through all the injuries and the philosophy of pushing players through the system to see if they are worth anything on the Major League roster is working.

They rushed Cam, and he was pretty decent before hitting the rookie wall. Whitcomb had shown that he looks like a AAA player. Leon is oft injured and may not amount to anything. Cole deserves a shot.

For pitching, Blubaugh, Murray and Costanza look like they can contribute. VanWey looks like another Forrest Whitley.

Dana has an eye for talent. He was hamstring by financials and through all the injuries was able to cobble together a competitive roster.

It's too bad Joe didn't know how to make it work.

Regarding Altuve: if the for was so bad, he should have gone on the IL and Urias should have been at 2nd. I know we grabbed him for help at 3rd, but once we got CC, a beat up Altuve should have gotten some rest -- even in a pennant race.

It does… but I'm at peace with it. As long as we make it next year I'm good. Just not our year. We had our chances. The Aggies being 4-0 helps too.

When has Aggie football ever let us down in November? That's crazy talk

I do think this year is different in all seriousness though. Elko seems more willing to adapt

Trading walker is the big move. Assuming Paredes is healthy to start he's got to be 1B. He's not playing SS or 3B and Jose has to go back to 2B. One of Paredes or Walker is out of a position.

I guess you could move Paredes to LF but that's even a bigger move.
