I know that's what you are asking for, but we all know you really need a game where we leave 15 on base and win 2-1.
I guess a 2-0 win with 10 left on will do instead.

Burger just got moved from AA to AAA, do the Rangers wait till September to bring him up? I think Tellez is playing well enough that the Rangers keep him with Burger. You can't really drop Haggerty or Osuna for him so it's either Zeke or Rowdy but Zeke can play multiple positions.

Abi Ortiz was just promoted from AA to AAA and went 4 for 5 with 2 HRs and 8 RBI in his debut last night. Not bad for 23 years old. He hit .143 for the month of June at Frisco, but .343 with 9 HRs and 26 RBI since.

We may need Burger to replace Tellez after the hand issues he was having last night. I hope not but his last two ABs give me pause. The ABs were great but the trainer visits were not.
Joc Pederson has a higher OBP (.269) this season than Jonah Heim (.265). https://t.co/Q0MtRz8U9r

I just think once a guy gets thru 8 with that level of dominance, it doesn't matter if he's coming out or not. You acknowledge it

I think the offense has put a damper on the fan involvement unfortunately. The first months of the season set the tone for the fans to expect the other shoe to drop every night with this team. Now, if they get back on a roll I think we will see the involvement pick up.

Rowdy was getting some props.
I think there are a number of issues.
I think Rangers fans came of age with the "Big Bang" variety of baseball. Big HRs, the game always in play because big bats could get 10Rs at any time.
This is a different version of baseball. I've mentioned it many times. I love the 2-0, 1-0, 2-1 type games. I love a great pitching duel. . The big strikeout. That's the baseball we have and I love it. You see it on here, people want the big home run. People like the scoring and the Rangers haven't been clutch enough recently to get the crowd jazzed.
I have other issues, but it would be tl dr. I was a STH for the Stars for 10 years, so I have plenty of HSOs on fan participation and game production.

If his next start goes like we think it will, and he pitches 5 innings, he will be a qualifier for the various statistical awards. He's at 111 IP, and the rangers have played 115 games.

I think there's a ton of folks that just aren't baseball savvy anymore. You go to a stars game and those fans know hockey for the most part. Football is football. However, since the World Series win there's a bunch of new, casual fans that just don't know the ins and outs. Maybe I'm just an old man now though

Easier math.
He is at 111. Rangers at 115.
47Gs remain / 5 SPs, means 9GS each
He needs 162 IP- 111 = 51 IP to qualify. 51IP/9GS means 5.2 ( 5 and 2/3rds) IP/GS.
Next 5 GSs: Az (#14, 7), Toronto (#1, 6), Cle (#30, 26), LAA (#26, 17), Az (#14, 7)
(BA, Rs)
Now Az has dismantled, so...Quote:
Naylor: .292
Suarez: 36 HRs

IMO, some of the hard core baseball fans have been priced out, or have t sit further away from the action due to cost. The seats up close are bought up by the corporations, and a lot of times aren't occupied by those that are "baseball savvy", as you mention above.

Watching the game with the sound turned down, the only thing I know for sure is that Nathan Eovaldi is attending today's game.
